I am here too, and Do not like it at all. Rules, Restrictions, crowds, queues, people are hardly laughing heree. And all the walking! I am somehow sad for the people here. It must be horror to live here all the time. Just working and functioning. After spending one week in the two big cities I went to the beach. And here it is really nice. People are friendly, relaxed and there's nature. After all. I guess the cities are not for me and everyone has a Different perspective on japan.
I went to Japan for the first time recently and I absolutely loved it. Don't people laugh? Umm, you seem to have been to a different country than the Japan I was in Lol
