How come most of the comments for this fantastic library are negative? I understand phrase libraries arent everyones cup of tea but this library pairs nicely with Expressivo for those aleatoric phrases that are impossible to execute with standard libraries. Great review
I want to sample all those presets and store as my serum preset files but the thing is you are not playing notes in that distinct way, what can I do please help. I cant buy vst im not so rich
Love the intent...but man you talk too fast and it gets to one nerves....not good at all....a little advise from someone who cares....SLOWW DOWN WHEN YOU'RE TALKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi, I'm a bit confused if this is the single mic position Musio or are you on the full Cinestrings version?
I'm a guitarist and I love this, just bought it I don't have any guitars with 7 or 8 strings, and I can play along with this, excellent demo, thank you.
That’s exactly my thinking too. I have a seven but will never get as low as that very low C without completely altering the setup. Having guitars recorded this clean and mix ready makes this very appealing! I’m really impressed with this one! :)
It's a quite different beast, and I like it. Though I also got APPEX, what is a bit more flexible in programming what you exactly want and need.
@@Kris_jellybeard hello! Thanks for the comment! I picked up Appex too, mainly because it is very processed and creates a specifically different sound. Appex is more flexible, Electric Storm Deluxe is more accessible. In terms of creating a track, there is a lot there. Combining the two, especially with some live playing and the results would be awesome. Both great libraries! :)
Muito bom
Thanks for the kind words :D

I think the same, I only buy software when it is offered at 50% or less. The truth is that all the production companies are beginning to realise that these prohibitive prices are going to be a joke. It is what it is, there are many of us amateurs who buy their products and few professionals... It is time for them to wake up if they want to sell massively, they must lower the prices. And I am not referring exclusively to Samplelogic but to all the big ones. Enough, open your eyes, mate!
How are you getting it to play in the sequencer ?
what a terrible library . overpriced and sounds like crap lol
And this is why we love instrument libraries so much! I absolutely love it, you not so much! And that’s ok! Happy new year!
Your work is great, I hope you can explain your work more.
sounds like a doorbell going off all the time
That is one musical doorbell!
How many Gb does it takes?
What’s the best computer for Cubase or nuendo? The new mini Mac m4? Or a gaming pc? My hp is 8 yrs old and need a new computer Thanks! 🎉 happy new yr!!
Believe it or not! I'm so inspired by the GUI of sample libraries in general. A big knob that feels like a "transformers" chest amulet that circulates with white and red lights which is the perfect mood to write for action and suspense. This is why I felt sad when Audio Imperia changed their Jaeger robotic engine GUI into a normal Pyramid engine GUI.
Link dose not work it says I have created too many entries 😂 just give it to everyone for free
Fantastic news! You’ve reached your maximum of six entries! :).fingers crossed!
Love Orangetree Samples! Thanks for the giveaway!
You’re most welcome! :)
Let me ask, what version of Kontakt is require to play Claire? Do I need to be forced to upgrade my Kontakt as well? Is this how they get us to upgrade?
Love the sound of this beast it is my favorite analog sim synth in my collection. I just wish there were separate panners for each oscillator as now there are 6 OSCs and this would open up some great sounds without making several instances in a DAW just to pan separate oscillators.
What is the official website?
I picked up this library the moment it was announced--as I have for every Berlin library as they were announced. I knew what to expect in the Berlin series.
Where can I download prefabrication?
Hey! Developer link in the description! Enjoy!
Muy buenos sonidos... Buen sampler. 😊❤
It's baffling to me that people can't tell that there are actually only 4 unique outputs and that every second mic position is just a duplicate of the previous one. Also you can save user presets but not properly reload them.
sounds interesting - I wait till it's 90% discounted
50% off is often the true value.. strange market.
This composition is just wonderful (28:05) and shows the magic of this amazing string library ! Just bought it ! Thank you
Thanks so much for the kind words! I really enjoyed composing this one, and of course the penguins! :)
Как спиратить эту библиотеку? 👉👈😅
Buy it! Piracy damages the industry. Piracy negates developers hard work. Piracy is theft. Happy Christmas.
I am on the enclosed part of the Ukrana. Technically, this land is occupied by Russia. The average salary in Russia is $400, I barely have enough money for housing and food, and I can't even afford an electric guitar. In addition, Russia is going to continue fighting, and I received a summons to the military enlistment office from the Russian army, although I am a citizen of Ukraine, so maybe these are my last days, and I just want to enjoy my favorite thing - writing music. 🤘 🫠🏴☠️@@thesampleist
I picked it up too picked up that reverb also way big difference, I am new to the product always used spitfire, Thanks for doing the video.
@@jasonsheppard-v5k thanks! Yes, I always use some kind of reverb with solo strings. It’s good to compare from out of the box to a generous helping of Teldex! I do really enjoy these solo strings!
The short answer is - no... The longer would include ramblings about P and S, and J and B and whatever....
picked this up as well now i just gotta learn how to finish a piece...
Does it take a lot of CPU like the other Berlin libraries?
@@Ajwmusicmedia not that I could tell. I do have a powerful machine so I’m lucky that nothing really chokes it. Everything is recorded at 512 buffet but then my audio interface shows very little latency.
In the intro video, they mentioned that there is only one dynamic layer to each of the samples, so the mod wheel / cc 1 will have no effect. How did you find working without the mod wheel? In the intro, they said that because they have the different performances with a soft option inside, there was no need for dynamic layers, but that would seem to me to multiply your tracks if you are switching between one and the other. I am seriously considering this library because I absolutely LOVE the sound of the sul-tasto, but wondered about the lack of cc 1 control.
@@LawrenceMorey the mod wheel definitely affects the dynamics. I’m sure you can hear it throughout the video. So I’m thinking hmmmmmm right now!
@@thesampleist Yeah - I've picked up the library since I wrote, and love it. My guess is that the mod wheel affects the volume somewhat (with a limited range) rather than moving through dynamic layers.
Thank you so much for covering Panorama Hybrid Greg! We’ve had the feedback asking to make midi assignments global a couple of times! We had some reasons for making it persistent to single snapshots only but I’m pretty sure we’ll change it in an update or for at least for the next Aria libraries. Great review!😊
Thank you also for the comment on the lack of documentation. We are in the process of moving all old manuals and a complete guide to the Aria engine to a section of our website, will be ready in January’25. For now videos on our channel should answer any questions!
My pleasure Allesandro, it's a lovely product and one that complements your catalogue very well. If there's anything I can offer to help in the future, be sure to reach out! Hope you have a merry Christmas. Greg (from The Sampleist)
Why add reverb? How does that help anyone?
Hello! In the OT video, reverb is added too and when I compose with solo strings I do add some. There is an eight minute section of the video with no reverb too so hopefully you find that helpful! Thanks!
@ Thanks for your reply and for the information! I actually stopped watching because, respectfully, there is too much reverb. Where is the bit without reverb? From my perspective, adding reverb doesn’t benefit the viewer, especially if the developer walkthrough has reverb itself. But, I may not understand the purpose of your video. Thank you again! :)
@ thanks! Well this is why I did two sections, one with and one without. The non reverb bit is in the chapter markers. In walkthroughs we don’t typically add any reverb, however, no matter which solo strings I use, I always add some. So for me, working with reverb on solo strings is normal. It is present in the composition too. In the case any reverb is added, which I think this is the only video that has, there will always be out of the box examples too. It’s a best of both worlds situation. Had I not done any out of the box examples then fair enough! Thanks for the comment! :) it helps us learn!
@@thesampleistthanks for pointing out the non reverb marker! I appreciate your video, but I might suggest just dialing the mix of the reverb down a bit (if it ever comes up in the future). I would almost certainly add reverb to a production, as well, but it’s nice to hear the product naked before purchasing. Thanks again for your thorough video and help!
@ no worries! It was a front stage Samplicity Berlin plugin preset I used. Sounded a bit more subtle in my ears when recording but a bit bigger on my speakers and phone when played back!
Holy reverb, Batman!
Love Batman!
@thesampleist Me too 🤣
One day, a sample company is going to discover that vibrato is the most important control to make solo strings believable. These? They sound like a MIDI synth.
Maybe it's very complex to offer a lot of control over vibrato and sound realistic. I think I prefer something that I can't control precisely but sounds realistic. Which library would you recommand for now ?
@@uncle-ed I think I read somewhere that it is very difficult to have that level of natural reverb control. That is why a lot of other libraries are more of an on/off rather than a gradual subtle vibrato.
Neither this or OT's walk throughout shows the performance page. I'm assuming all vibrato is baked in?
Typically cc3 is used in Berlin libraries to control vibrato. That said, I did try it on the solo strings and it didn’t seem to control it at all. There is the gradual vibrato option which sounds very good but no functional vibrato control on the legato patches as far as I can see. I am contacting OT about that though just in case I have that wrong.
absolute love this❤❤❤
@@NexusMusic1988 thanks so much! :)
“ a small amount of reverb “ lol
Yeah, it’s the “front stage” preset from the Berlin Samplicity plugin. More like a healthy amount of reverb! Still, I did some none reverb examples too!
hey, thanks for the demo ! the vibrato is pretty amazing. I have Cremona quartet and I'm not so happy with the vibrato. I might take Berlin solo strings because of that. Sounds very beautiful and realistic. at 6:30 it sounds weird to me but I think it's because it's supposed to be played like a solo instrument. A solo cello is not able to do this G major chord obviously, so that's maybe why there is this unatural (ugly to me) sound. What do you think ?
Hello there! Yeah, it's all about how you use them! I think as they are sustained patches around 6:30, I played some chords. As you say, they are solo instruments so not designed to but in our videos we just play around and see how everything sounds. We try and squeeze as many types of sounds as we can to see what they sound like. I'd certainly use the sul tasto sustains for chordal playing, they build textures well. Same for the cinematic. I did use the expressive sustains in the composition, but just single lines as intended! Thanks for watching! :D
@@thesampleist I understand. Thanks for your answer. The video is indeed very informative. In terms of solo strings, which plugins do you recommand ? I have never really heard such a realistic vibrato before.
@@florianc9140 Thanks for the reply! Well, I am going to be using the Berlin Solo Strings a lot going forwards. They really suit my style of writing and having just gone "full" Berlin myself in the recent sale, I love how it all sounds together. They are the most expansive solo strings in terms of legato choice and articulations. Previously, my go to has been the Embertone Intimate String Collection which I've used maybe for 6 years. I have others but I always go back to that library! I do have a feeling though Berlin Solo Strings will become my new go to!
@@thesampleist Still new to this world, so it's easy to feel lost. But even though I bought Cremona on sale a few months ago and swore not to buy new plugins for a long time😅, I really think I will buy Berlin Solo strings because the expressive sound seems much better and realistic. thanks for the video and the advise !
@@florianc9140 There are a lot of options for any kind of instrument these days, which is why we hope to be helpful! I have to say, I do use the Cremona Quartet also! I think it's all about what kind of music you're making and how you specifically want it to sound. The three legato/patch categories here are what give this library a lot of utility!
Hello and fantastic review and use of this plugin, just a question about voices, where are they from ? Thank you
Hi, all! Will I lose Kontakt 6 and 7 if I make the upgrade? Thank you in advance!
No, you will still have both of them installed on your system unless you choose to uninstall them.
@@thesampleist Thank you so much!
Just going through patches……hmmmm
I would've liked to hear how the different mics sound and if there is a dry close mic, because it seems there is a lot of reverb
If I have time, I'll try to make a video showing that
