it is a slow process of fungus development and emergence of above ground symptoms on tree.occassional waterlogging for a day or two days does not harm ,but wet and damp soils and the soil which compact easily are more prone to these fungul infections .so whenever we do flood irrigation,we should do it early in the morning,so that excess moisture evaporates till the on set of evening

Your videos on horticulture related issues are much more informative than many others who are regular content creators. If possible increase your content to atleast one video per week if not more. Is there any kind of soil test available that tell us about the moisture retaining capacity of specific soil types? If yes where can that test be done?

if your soil is clayey(very fine particles and having less sand content),then it will compact easily after rains or after irrigation so u need to till(plough )the soil , when u feel such compaction to let the oxygen inn... Generally there is no test which can tell u about moisture retaining capacity of your soil. Manually u can simply check by taking some soil from the canopy and holding it in your palm and pressing with fingers if ball formation occurs and particles merge with each other then moisture is enough. if this condition always persists in your orchard wether there is rain deficit, drought, soil in direct sunlight (without any mulching cover),then we can call it a damp soil. To manage this dampness and expell out the extra moisture from the soil, u can make some deep channels that can soak out the extra moisture.

​​@@mohammadiqbal5342 The thing is adjacent to our home is round about 2 kanals of paddy land. As it's too close to residential area its yields was very very low. Last year we raised it up by 2 feet with loads of clay soil brought from local paddy fields. Having no experience or knowledge about apple cultivation it has remained idle since then, however, recently through social media, intrest begin to develope about the possibility of UHDP. As it is elevated up 2 feet there is no question of water logging or spillover from the adjacent fields still there needs to be lots of things to know & be clear about before actualising the idea. Soil is very fertile, clearly seems clay soil type though it needs to be tested for proper evaluation. This soil doesn't remain wet or damp , from march gets as dry as anything, even shrubs & grass burns down if we get negligent about keeping the field moist through pipe irrigation. That said it may behave differently if it rains for prolonged periods of time , say a week or two. Slowly I m absorbing all the necessary information to arrive at better decision, people like you make things easier thats why asking many questions. Hope you understand & ll keep guiding.
