normal CVT gearbox vehicles don’t have them but the Chery vehicles or even the Chery group vehicles have computerised gears, when you accelerate, the rpms won’t remain in one place, the drop meaning they have gear ratios but are controlled by the vehicles computer box and lastly, you can feel the gear changes and the power differences when on different gears.

Hi, I’m not aware of any way you can turn it off unfortunately, maybe on the the Elite models but not on the LIT specifically 🙏🏽

@@AllthingsTiggo4 i found u can turn the alarm sound all the way down and it at least makes it 5x quieter, but cant turn it all the way off

Hi, I do want to also let you know that if you have the manual LIT model then you don’t have cruise control, you only have cruise control in the auto models then secondly in regards to the lights, I’m not sure what you mean but if you are saying that you have to switch your lights on and off yourself and you want the car to do it itself where it will have DRL on during the day and headlights on whenever it is dark then you can select auto on your headlight stalk. I hope I have answered you but please let me know whether I have or not 🙏🏽

I’m not sure what the name of the mudguards is, I just searched on Takealot “cherry tiggo 4 pro” mudguards and bought those and installed them myself as for the locknuts, I went tok one nut off the car, went to Midas, told them I wanted locknuts for this side and installed those too myself

Yes definitely but I think this also dependant on the type of lights you have so for example if you have LED lights then you can’t replace them yourself for any car unless if it’s after market accessories where you have put in LED bulbs but from factory, cars with LED lights don’t have bulbs in them which is basically applicable for every car but for halogens then you can do so, even with this T4 you can replace the halogen lights yourself as they are bulbs with a projector headlight cluster. All the other lights can be done as DIY

Hi, will do so and it will be dropping it this weekend, the car is going in for its 15 000km service tomorrow morning so I just wanted to wait for that then I will give you a breakdown of everything I have experienced with it so far 🙏🏽

Well I always regard such as wear and tear you know which happens to any car from any brand so I wouldn’t say it’s a badly engineered car as it may happen to anyone, I’m not defending them but I just wanted to state that it is something that can happen with any car from any brand and does happen but because those brands are not entering the market, such things are not spoken of as much as the new Chinese market vehicles, that’s just my take.🙏🏽

It’s currently good, I average 7.2l per 100km for my daily commute to work which is town driving only then 6.5l per 100km when travelling. It was bad before my first service only, I used to get 8.2l per 100km in town and 7.9l per 100km when travelling. 🙏🏽

@@fahmyabrahams6134ohhh no, it does not show the speed, the screen shows “immediate fuel consumption”, “kilometres driven from last reset”, “tyre pressures”, “distance to empty”, “average fuel consumption” then you get some settings to play with for speed limiters, time etc 🙏🏽

It’s the Naturally Asiprated one but the reason why I’m complaining is that the CVT box jumps straight to 4000 RPM whereas in the same situation, I switch to manual mode and it increases the speed the exact same way with a higher gear, more than anything, from what I inspected, what it does is that whenever it drops down the speed, it wants to get to the cruising speed as soon as possible and not allowing itself to do so smoothly and use the torque of the car, I’m not sure if I am making sense 😂

I am not a Chery owner . I have just tried to make sense of what is happening. What does your Dealer say. Could they explain it to you .

@@williehoffman9062I have not enquired about it but I have ruled it to the fact that since it is a CVT gearbox as you say too, it wants to be at its peak power band which then makes it drop to lower gears to maintain the same speed or match your throttle response 🙏🏽

That’s amazing stuff, a lot of people have the misconception that the consumption of these cars is unbearable whereas what I have found is that it is not too bad and in some cases the same as these big brands or the German brands 🙏🏽

@@sethuskam2336 yes, I bought mine for 310 to be exact, I took out the smash and grab as it was R5 000 so it dropped it from 315 which was what I negotiated down to then just took out smash and grab to make it 310, do you have optional extras like smash and grab and other accessories on your car like tow bars etc ?

@@RatoM.Official hii, for me, the consumption is okay, it’s not amazing but it’s not bad too, people over exaggerate the consumption on this car only to find out that it’s not that much higher than the other vehicles in the segment so my opinion is that it’s okay 🙏🏽

Well this one has cruise control because it’s a “facelift” in terms of spec level as they do not sell Urban models anymore. They replaced Urban models with the LIT models then have the Comfort then the Elite models so with the new introduction of the LIT model, the spec sheet is different to the Urban. 🙏🏽

The fuel consumption is very good, it does drop because I used to hover around 8.5l/100km to around 9.1l/100km and now what I get it 6.2l/100km which is what I got for a trip of about 500km and for my daily use I get 7.2l/100kms so the fuel efficiency is very good 🙏🏽

Thank you for commenting so to answer your questions, the LIT has climate control but it’s single zone and only dual zone on the Elite models then secondly with the wipers, yes, they are manual wipers and only get auto wipers in the Elite models. 🙏🏽

It is the base model amoungst the automatic variants, there is a manual variant of the LIT which is the base/entry level model which loses out on the parcel shelf in your boot and cruise control and I think the remote start feature but the rest is the same besides the transmission as well, hope I have a answered your question perfectly 🙏🏽

I honestly do not know why the gears would do that, I only have an automatic one, is the clutch fully in when you engage the gear because with some vehicles, the gear can go fully in and still grind against the metals because the clutch isn’t fully in and as for the flooring, if it is covered by the vehicle warranty and the warranty has not been voided and the damage was not caused by wear and tear then I don’t see why they would not fix it unless if I’m mistaken 🙏🏽

Hiii, sorry for answering so late, I did not see your comment but to answer your question there isnt any lag but what I have noticed is that if you want to move from a standstill quickly, you have to press the accelerator more than you would normally to get it to move quicker but as for a normal commute, no 🙏🏽

Yes i did that but the music automatically switches the infotainment system off after about 30 minutes or an hour, if I’m not mistaken 🙏🏽

I’d say it’s the entry level to the automatic versions of it because the entry entry which is the manual doesn’t have a couple of features that the auto has like cruise control and parcel shelf so to answer you, in a way it is yet it’s also not as I kind of look at it as a variant that is above the base which is the manual version and the comfort which is basically the mid spec, hope I have answered your question 🙏🏽

Do you have the 111 horse power version? And if so does it speed and accelerate well while travelling on a high way?

You cannot do the “Hey Chery” voice command but you can do voice activation for your Apple CarPlay with Siri and with your android as well, there is a button on the right side of the steering wheel, top right button and hold the button

Thank you so much, yes it does have central locking as soon as you hit 15km/h it locks and mirrors here do not close when you lock, I thick the electric mirrors are for the comfort or Elite models but not in the LIT CVT or normal CVT model. Yes, I’m able to start it from outside I don’t know about the urban model because the base model for the T4 range is no longer the urban now, there is the LIT manual and the one I have which is the CVT, so I’m really not sure about the urban model, I think it does though but to answer your question, yes it can lock and unlock without you touching the key
