For years trees have been falling on my electric fence but missing the posts. Well I found another tree top that broke off and missed the fence posts and leaning on the electric wires. Then I found a second tree top that broke off and it did not just hit any fence post, it hit my corner fence post and pile drived it down into the ground putting three electric wires under ground. My strawberry plants were planted in one foot apart rows last year. This year I decided to change to 4 foot garden beds with 3 foot garden pathways so my children could walk in the garden. Yes progress! I got in the Bay Laurel, Chilean Guava, Spanish Olive, and all of the blueberry bushes that I pulled out of the field. I really need to catch up with my videos. Ok I am going to try posting one in the morning and one in the evening until I catch up... hopefully this works. I am getting these plants into their spots so I can plant my garlic. I still have to get in the fig row right next to this row. Then the two rows for garlic this year will be ready.

There is progress on the blueberry row but I am still on done yet.

I tried to post videos in the order I took them but I missed this one, sorry. As you can tell I am very happy to discover that the fig cuttings that I jammed into the ground earlier in the year, some are growing. I am not sure what variety they are because they were just some trimmings that were thrown away after a fig tree was pruned. I will ask my sister's neighbor one day 😁.

I pulled out all the perennial and annual weeds for another garden row and garden bed. The next task is mulching.

Your down spouts around the house have screens to stop debris that have fallen onto the roof from getting into the weeping system. After storms we go around and clean them out. I usually find pill bugs, spiders, wasps, earwigs, and centipedes. But this day I found a water boatmen. I personally have never found one this big. I showed my son and daughter, they were not as impressed as me 😅

Just one of many wasp nests in the greenhouse. Yellow jackets go out of their way to sting me but these wasps so far have left me alone over the years. Their nest is right by the door to the greenhouse and yet working around them they have never sting me or tried to make me go away.

This is the first time I have seen one of these fuzzy yellow caterpillars in the main garden. I saw them in the greenhouse eating basil over the years. I have seen many other caterpillars in the garden including the green caterpillars of the white cabbage moth which I collect and feed to the chickens and ducks. But if there are just a few of an insect, I view them as biodiversity and leave them...
