Switzerland Itinerary 7 Days - Guides, Travel Passes and Budget Tips
#switzerland #swisstravel #swisspass #jungfrau
Planning a Swiss itinerary could be difficult, especially if you are on a budget. Switzerland is a country where the expenses may get out of hand quite quickly. But it is also one of the countries that should be on your bucket list.
Switzerland is beautiful in every aspect. It's beauty lies in it's nature. There are lakes, waterfalls, mountains and meadows at every turn. Because of Switzerland's public transport, it is also extremely easy to reach every corner of the country very easily and the journeys are part of the Swiss experience. There are cable cars, cogwheel trains, gondolas and boats to make your experience fun and functional. Plus, the country hosts innumerable breathtaking hikes.
There are several travel passes available to make your Switzerland trip easier but you have to know which ones you need otherwise you will end up spending a fortune. We stayed in Switzerland for 7 nights and 8 days. We stayed in Interlaken the whole time.
We bought the Swiss Travel Pass for the first 3 days and the Jungfrau Travel Pass for the next 3 days. We got a local city transport card from our Airbnb which we used to explore Interlaken and around on our last day. This plan helped us to enjoy the best of the country in the easiest possible way.
Here is a brief itinerary we followed
Day 1- Arrive at Interlaken
Day 2- Golden Pass Line and Montreux
Day 3- Stanserhorn and Rigi
Day 4- Matterhorn Glacier Paradise and Gornergratbahn

When we started planning our road trip along the Romantischer Straße, there was a lack of information on the internet as well as youtube. So, we decided to build our own itinerary and share it for others to enjoy. It turned out to be a perfect adventure. In this video, you will get a feel of the stops along this road trip. You can customize and plan your itinerary according to your preference. ...
Paragliding in Lauterbrunnen | Best View of Alps | Switzerland Itinerary | S01E10

I skipped Jungfraujoch and decided to splurge on Paragliding in Lauterbrunnen. It was the best decision I took. The ride was the most exciting of my life. I was inspired by the video of Iz Harris (th-cam.com/video/eNdcwYrHD8s/w-d-xo.html) I used the same company as her. I decided to do it in Lauterbrunnen although there were cheaper options in Interlaken because of the views. The splashes from ...

I had too, and like everyone else, wanted to witness it in person. It is actually very easy to participate in the Tomatina festival if you have a plan.
Hadir dan nyimak vidio nya....vidionys bagus... Salam kenal
Great video. My mom was from Ulm, in the small ort of Solingen. Her parents home was torn down for some newer homes. The steps going up to there apartment were made from wood, and every step was bowed. My mom and her parents and three brothers going up and down those steps for many years. I was there three different times. The last time was in ,1978 when my parents sent me to a hotelberufsfachschule in Bad Reichenhall. My dad was from Ludinghausen in northern Germany. They met at a beauty barber shop in Canada. The beauty shop was on one end and the barber shop was at the other end. Dad's barber told my dad that there was a beautiful young German girl getting her hair done. So he walked thru to the other side and introduced himself. It was love at first site. For there 50,the wedding anniversary they went back to the beauty,/barber shop and they were surprised that it was still open. But the daughter and son operated it then. But they called there parents to come down. They were also shocked that they were still together. My mom died in 1999 and my dad passed away in 2009. He died because he missed his wife, and her cooking. Thank God I watch her enough to put some of her recipes in my head. My daughter just turned 31, her name is Gretchin Hope Liese. She could not get my middle name, only because only the sons can get it. My full name is Michael Von Liese. Somebody a long time ago was knighted, by a king or a queen. That's what I was told. Germany is a very beautiful place to visit, but it costs much more to live there then here in Florida. But if I had to pick a place to live, it would be Bad Reichenhall. No Hussle or buddle like in the bigger towns. And not to many tourists. Not like in Ulm or Muchen. That city comes alive in October. If I wanted that I just drive up to Helen Georgia. A beautiful German town in North Georgia. But I love the videos of all people driving in Germany. It brings back so many great memory's. When me and mom got to neuswaunstein the cart or wagon that took you up to the castle had wooden wheels, now they are rubber, less maintenance. And also the wagon driver was the toy maker in the movie. I still have his autograph. I could only wish to go back one more time to visit all my relatives, but it would be very hard in a wheelchair. Plus finding a vehicle that I can fit into. I stand now at 7 foot 3 inches tall and wear a size 19 sneaker.
Hello there.. thank you for sharing your story! Really feel lucky to be able to live in Germany and drive around. So much of it is still untouched and pure. I only wish to explore more of the country.
Didn't u visit corralejo
Thank you for your video, very informative. Planning to do one next year. How was the drive across towns? Is parking easy?
Hi there.. We found paid street parking in the smaller towns like Dinkelsbühl but in bigger towns like Würzburg we googled for covered parking lots in the town center before arriving and usually found one easily. It was unusually hard to find a parking in Nördlingen. The roads are really narrow. We found a covered parking inside the town walls but it was tight to park and expensive for 2 nights. I would recommend parking outside the walls here.
Super just come back from this road
Yes.. truly great trip 😊
It would be very hard to do justice to all the sights that you saw, and those you missed on such a short road trip. Wuerzburg is a great place to spend several days. and you were only able to skim the surface of this amazing Road! You missed the Wieskirche, as well as the fantastic Palace in Weikersheim. I've been to Germany many times and there's always more to see on the Romantischestrasse!
Hi there.. that’s true but also depends how much time you have and your budget. This trip was mostly about enjoying the road trip and to get a glimpse of what the Romantic road has to offer. We had only a week of vacation and we tried to get the best out of our limited time. We loved some of the sights more than the others and would definitely be going back to spend some quality time in each of those places.
Thnx for the nice views and tips. We go next week for 10 days.
Fuerteventura's tourist office should use this video as an advertisement for the island!
Thank you for your kind words! 😊
But u didnt shpw us the views! From the top of the hike! Really love? I was loving tjis vidro up till then!
Hi there.. don't know which view you are talking about.. but if it is the Arco, I did show the view.
You made a beautiful video of a beautiful island, one of our favorites in the Canarian.
Glad you enjoyed it.. one of our favorites too!
Fantastic locations covered! Heaven on Earth! Thanks!!!
So true.. can't wait to go back 😊
What time of the yeard did you visit?
We visited in the last week of April. 😊
Hi. Thanks for this nice video. Did you need to purchase tickets to hike around the castle or even come up close to it?
Hi there.. nope you don't need a ticket to hike around the castle.. you need a ticket only if you want to enter the castle premises 😊

Thanks!
....and that is just the very south of Germany
Absolutely!
Germany got soo much to offer.
Yes.. so true
No, restaurants are not scarce in the countryside. I have so far _hiked_ halfway through Germany from north to south, avoiding major cities, and have never had any problems finding somewhere to eat. Fair enough, I have not necessarily found a place exactly at noon but there has always been some place somewhere. Nor have they been particulary expensive, rather on the contrary. A major tourist spot like Rothenburg could ofc be different
Hi there, I don't think it's a yes or no topic. We mostly stayed at villages that were off the beaten path and it really was difficult finding restaurants. The ones we found sometimes closed very early or had limited options. For example, we were easily able to find restaurants at Nördlingen and Rothenberg ob der Tauber but did not find any option at Creglingen when we arrived at 19:00 hrs. We are budget travellers so we usually try to save when we can. The definition of expensive could be different for different people. We found preparing our own meals way more convenient and pocket friendly. This was strictly our personal experience.
@@emknowsplaces I fully understand that you would want to fix your own meals when you can, no one is made of money. I just did not want people to get the impression that it is hard to find someplace to eat in Germany, even off the beaten path. Google maps shows 6 places in Creglingen...
Thanks. We are back in Corralejo 28th June for the whole of July. Our 31st visit. Now have irish passport so we will be leaving the UK. 😊
Wow.. thats great to hear!

So fun, too close to the mountains!

Has anyone drove through this road using electric vehicle? I am worried about not having enough charge stations
I am quite sure you will find ample number of charging stations on this route.
The map at the end is a real nice touch. Thank you
Glad you liked it 😊
Very nicely filmed. Amazing locations. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it :)
I drove the Romantic Road from its southern terminus at Neuschwanstein to Rothenburg ob der Tauber in 2017. Many sections of the modern road are pretty mundane, but sometimes if you get off the newer main road and back onto the older roads going through the villages it gets more interesting. I first noticed this when we ventured into Donauworth for breakfast.
We had to be very careful choosing our routes during this trip. We saved most of our routes in advance on the map but still got rerouted at some points. Google always shows the fastest route which can be mundane and German autobahns are usually not that scenic. Thanks for bringing this up! Half the fun of enjoying this trip is the scenic route.
Just arrived back home to Erlangen from rothenburg ob der tauber two days ago. Rothenburg is my favorite place to visit anywhere.
অসাধারণ।
Thank you!
Great informative video. We had a night in Rothenburg last summer. Easily one of the top 10 towns I have ever visited. Simply beautiful.
Thank you for your message. Couldn't agree more.. these towns were straight out of fairytales.
Hi Emily, can you share the details for your accommodation near the Nauneuschwanstein castle? You mentioned a chalet, I would love to know the name as I am planning a trip this summer

We went to these same towns when we did the Romantic Road! Did you happen to follow Rick Steve's suggestions? So beautiful. Thank you for sharing your trip!
Hi Wendy! Thanks for your kind words. I do follow Rick Steve’s itineraries for many of my trips around Europe but not this one. I found out about the Romantic road from my German friends and got intrigued. After that, I just chose my favorite spots on the route and went for it. It was absolutely breathtaking! 😊
