Any other tips rather than falling on the butt? I definitely did that and have had a coccyx injury for a couple months… still hurts lol🥲 I guess it just comes with practice to not fall very much on your butt. Also, so you ever use padded shorts to prevent injuries like that? Maybe I should get one! Thanks for the video!

I learnt at 19 and did 3 seasons in the Alpes . After that I did 2 weeks holidays every year for the next 11 years . Last 10 years nothing - nada I thought I was over it . I’m now re buying the kit and heading off at 44 . It’s never too old , as long as you have a different approach. I’m not doing the park or off piste anymore but being in the mountains and shredding what I can and taking it easier . I still feel 22 in my mind and soul

I have not been skiing in probably 15 years, but I am pretty sure you will get laughed off the slopes in a helmet. No one uses these.

The only question left is can you use the top choices with your phone or pad or, or do you have to take them off. It gets so windy here some winters and we end up losing power. It gets really boring if we're snowed on in the middle of the day. You(if you wanna) should make a short testing how they do against a phone.

Taught myself over covid at 47, 3 seasons later I'd consider myself an advanced rider but I gotta be careful doing tricks. I can remember falling day 2 and hitting the ground with my fist frustrated thinking I'll never be able to do this. Now I ride switch, butter, and can do 180s and almost have my 360 dialed in. Great sport. My advice is give it a solid week. I can imagine how hard it would be only going once a month

Don't wear a down jacket in wet conditions. It will ruin the down beyond repair and wet down will not keep you warm.

I think that was yesterday, omg.. it was a stupid fall getting out of the lift! My ski pole got caught according to my husband on his ski, so he was trying to lifted me? 🤔 that’s what it felt like., so my body weight went Into him he let me go bz he was falling n my head hit the ground like basketball 😱😱 it was so bad my goggles cut my face! Definitely safe me from a mayor injury amen!! for the helmet! Oh.. let’s add up to this story as we were getting ready he said it’s too hot you are going to get too hot with the helmet 😱😱😱 I glad didn’t heard that nonsense!! I most definitely will be in a hospital! SO PLEASED WHO CARES HOW HOT IT IS WERE UR HELMET!

I ended up returning the Kuhl jacket due to reading reviews about the jacket feeling wet on the outside due to the new technology even though it’s still waterproof on the inside. Did you find the Kuhl repelled the water or felt wet? I love how quiet the Kuhl jacket is though! I love the Patagonia in the colour you got. Did you find yours got dirty easily? Thats my worry haha! I think most people don’t realize that snowboarding really didn’t come on the mainstream scene until the 1980’s so most snowboarders who grew up with are in their 50’s. I am 52 and I board every season. If you are on green trails and not in the terrain park I am sure you will see snowboarders in their 70’s in 10-20 years. I plan to be one.

Blows my mind, I’ve seen multiple videos of people testing boots and gloves this type of way, that they don’t realize all the heat is escaping out the open end. The glove isn’t open when your hand is in it. It needs to be closed. So you aren’t really measuring how warm they are because ones with a tight cuff is going to lose less heat out the opening vs one that is loose and open.

A pocket knife or multi-tool knife is handy!
