Thanks for the video Adam, fantastic video, clutch is now replaced, and all ok. You are right about the gasket, a right pain in the ar…. All of he best
Thanks for the info.
Now that's how an instructional video should be 😂
I have an 06 and the clutch keeps hydraulicly locking and I have issues shifting when stationary and it creeps forward when I pull the clutch lever in. Can you please give me a list of all the parts and gaskets used to redo the clutch... Thanks
I'm very mechanically inclined. This video made my job super easy. I was able to run through this job after seeing what all needed removed to get to the cover properly. Also I had all the proper o rings and gaskets ready for the job.
Any one knows the dowel pin o ring part #?
Hi, you are doing very good things. You are great. Your engine is also very nice. I need some parts. The engine failed. Can you help me?
Hey Adam....I need to top up my ST1300 coolant....is there an easier way to get to that rad cap?
I took most of my cowlings and fairings off my ST1300. I love that dystopian-industrial look. Can you make a video on stripping the ST1300 and any pros and cons to doing this?
I managed to shorten the procedure a little . Loosen but don't remove the spark plugs . ,remove the cam covers , turn the engine as shown here , but get a flash light, & get the cam lobe pointing away from the lifter., ( egg shape facing directly away from the valve lifter, the skinny part at the top or outside) .It takes a bright light & a little neck craning, & you'll have to keep track of which ones you've checked ., but you won't have to take off the wheel, or fender, or the timing plug, or support the front of the bike, unless you insist on checking a whole bunch of valves at once by using the timing mark method.
How many miles were on the bike when you did this inspection? Thanks
Hot vid, loaded with to the point voice and cam work! May we have more, please?
🤣🥃👍
Seems to me the video was more about you than doing the job.
U are a Legend
At the 1:54 mark, take note that there is another block drain bolt on the left cylinder, too. Each cylinder has a means of being drained. It looks the same as the right cylinder bolt and also is located under the exhaust pipes. Just FYI. Happy trails!
You really set the bar for proper motorcycle maintenance
Great work! How many miles were on the bike?
Hi there.....the torque on a 6mm thread with a small flange is 10NM or 84 inch lbs or 7 ft/lbs. (from the manual) Good videos!
Good video. Where did you tap and pry gently to get the front cover off? I tried tapping with a rubber hammer with no success and not real comfortable using a screwdriver to pry it. If I have to I will. Thanks EDIT....used a wooden dowel. There is a tab on the left lower side of the case. Then used a tiny flat screwdriver to pop the upper section. Going to use 84 inch lbs/ 7ft lbs as torque.
Like your style, bro. Relax and do it, no stress.
Manual states "High quality ethylene glycol antifreeze containing corrosion protection inhibutors" Page 6: 3. Honda Fast Blue Type 2 is the preferred choice.
thanks for the education view, i am buying a pan, st 11,000, it's got 45,000 on the clock, so i would think it needs new clutch, i don't know if your a diy fitter or full time fitter, so don't take this personally, how long would it take for a qualified bike fitter to do that work, thank you.
How many miles on the bike?
Thanks lots of good information but it would be better if you included some video of the cover and case goo and removal as well as the actual placing of the plates. Good stuff... Im off to your next video
Dude keep up the videos on the st1300 I've been curious with how these things are done and I've seen more of yours about the st then anyone else! 👍very pleased
Your bike looks awesome with the single headlight & dash and no fairings Can you do a walk around video to give us all a better look at it? And have you been able to hide the wiring?
I’ll do that absolutely! I was able to clean and hide wiring for the most part under the gas tank. It’s a long way from pretty.
how much coolant does it take?
2.66 litres
I have a 2009 Honda st1300pa a slow leak from the water pump hose. After from a ride, side stand down I’ll get a couple of drops... is that major?
BEST ADVICE EVER
Hi where is the thermostat on the st1300
right behind the rad at the top
wow, you're good. And the best thing you do it with ease, so relaxing. Never seen this video on ytube. Many thank's!
Hey thanks!
For a minute I thought you might’ve smoked one before the video
I too
Great to see someone working on the pan. How did you deal with the 2 snaped bolts?
Luckily they were spaced out enough that I just left them in the way they are. No leaks as of yet
Hi Adam enjoy your videos. What’s the story regarding the lack of fairing? Could you show more of the bike? Take care.
The bike was a Phoenix test bike. Originally full gear police bike, dropped I believe and caused enough fairing damage to total it. Police used it as a test bike for who knows how long. I picked it up cheap. P
@@adammeyer9582 Hi! do you apply gasket maker an both gasket?
Nice timing! Just ready to do this myself on my 03.
Hey Adam, enjoy the videos on the ST. Very helpful and entertaining. Says you are in Phoenix. I just bought an ST and live in Prescott. Hopefully see ya sometime on the fine AZ roads.
Great Video
