Regular Frontside 360 Progression - Snowboard
มุมมอง 441หลายเดือนก่อน
Regular frontside 360 progression on a snowboard. A quick lesson or progression on how to do a frontside 360 on a snowboard. For this progression, we should be able to ride in our forward and switch stance plus, we should be able to do 360s and 180s (they do not need to be perfect). This video is a practice and its intention is to show others a pathway to 360s (there are many paths to 360s… thi...

Practice this… 😅😅😅
Think you forgot to edit😂or even better, didn't care! - dig that vibe, awesome vid dud!
@@spray_skiers thanks mate! I didn’t forget, I intentionally like showing the real or raw process. Editing is a long process and I’m working with an iPhone and a GoPro 🤘🏽
It’s a good video, but how high up are you? You are totally gassed.
@@RED5standing-by thanks, about 9,000 feet 🤘🏽
Протяжно, на большой скорости, очень клевые ощущения, но мышцы устают. Буду пробовать через спину.
I will practice it thanks
@@thabetalmazyad sounds good! It’s a fun one🤘🏽
Thanks, I will definitely try this when I am up the mountain
@@doctorjaysuave5487 anytime! The key for me way practice with my board off and then in the flats with my board on🤘🏽
I watched all your videos and I learned a lot from you thanks Duncan

@@Cactusking1 thank you for your feedback 🤘🏽
Dude quit spraying snow in my face
@@scrim90smuk3 🤣🤣
If you need to slow down on a narrow run just slow down the same way as anywhere else on the mountain. Got it.
Better advice would be to look over your shoulder during these speed checks because skiiers will pass you up on these narrow chutes so collisions are more likely
Where are you riding? Its beautiful!!!!!
@@richardcalvinii4433 mammoth mountain ca
Don’t use music nice video keep going
@@thabetalmazyad noted
Good ol' Road Runner. First test of a narrow run for me. Later on, Snowbird really pushes you to the next level with high speed narrow runs/cat tracks.
@@Jon_Dang I haven’t ridden snowbird yet… sounds like a great time🤘🏽
I saw that split second of woo coming back to heels. Know that feeling. It’s not there in regular lol
@@Yogi_4469 yup… sometimes I almost lose my balance too🤘🏽
Nice progression, any tips for 180 nose/tail press combo? Ps. Can you film closer? Or zoom in post production?
@@benwazo4633 check some of the shorts on YT or some of the reels on IG, I have some 180 press combos there. I can film closer next time🤘🏽
Hmm think I've always used front leg for turns, mybe should try adjusting
@@FrVitoBe for me, it’s about developing new skills and blending skills. If you’re already using your front leg try isolating and blending your back leg into your turns🤘🏽
Maybe a hand held camera stick/pole would be better to see your edge changes better and get a closer view. Thanks for the tips man and great riding I can see how in control you are which is always cool to see.
@@connorgunion8597 thanks for the feedback and the filming will get better🙏🏽
@ no problem man and i appreciate you doing what you do keep up the great work 😎
Damn you got on my TH-cam shorts (it’s Tanner Hancock)
@@bigbeartanner yo!! That’s rad man🤘🏽
Is this blue or green run?
@@thabetalmazyad green run, I usually learn and encourage folks to practice on green slopes first 🤘🏽
And then when you get really advanced, you stop using the front foot to initiate the turn and work on getting both feet to keep the board from twisting for pure carves.
@@lukejuras8024 how twist…? Won’t there always be a little bit of twist? Especially, when we’re carving?
If you want to leave pencil-thin lines, the tail of the board has to follow the same path as the nose. When you twist, the nose is on a higher edge angle, so it's following a tighter turn path. The way to lock in that carve is to keep both nose and tail at the same angle the whole time.
@ thank you for sharing 🤘🏽
You didn't teach anything. You just did them im non the wiser
@@chrisbennett3544 then you missed the point and forgot to read the captions… if you’re looking for a full breakdown with 180s (there’s a video on my channel that breaks down every 180 and starts to breakdown how to learn 360s). Plus, this is a “progression”, not a “lesson”. A progression will show you a process to practice so that, you can learn from experience.
Why are you like this? He was just showing progression.
whats your helmet?
China peak is the first place I've ever snowboard at when I had a business trip to CA back in 2011.
Can’t tell if this is a repost, helpful tho
I edit the shorts in IG, save them, and post them here 🤘🏽 do you think I should edit in YT?
My doubt about toe side turns and carving no one talks ( Is it right use calf raises ? like same gym movement or not only the weight on toes, center of mass and hips)?
I want to learn what you have mentioned at 0:16... I can't see to not rotate to turn and want to learn how to only use hips to move from toe to heel and vice versa.
Engage your turns with your front knee instead of using the back foot like a rudder
gotta fix this one ear audio
I don’t get off the ground much. I can’t wait to give these moves a try. You ride a Jones board?
Not yet… CAPiTA indoor survival 🤘🏽
personally i think dragging your forearm on the snow on your toe edge looks badass
Ngl I did this without trying to do a 180 I’ve horrible balance on my back edge especially with my left foot forward it’s just easier for me to stay goofy foot in any situation
@@thejnasty that’s rad! I wonder what would happen if you tried doing a 360
@@Snowboardtrainers man it’s been about two years since I’ve hit the slopes but I’m hoping to go back this season my father who I’ve always gone with isn’t doing so well so it’s been hard not to mention I’ve been busy but this season we’ve already told ourselves we’re making it happen so I’ll definitely be able to get back out there, small jumps are fun but where I shine is the trees and fresh snow absolutely love swerving through the trees like I’m swerving through traffic, the rush is amazing 😂😁
Question, do you ride with your highbacks at the same angle or different angles? I’ve heard various opinions on this.
@@mikejardine3888 you can switch it up… I ride at the same angle 🤘🏽
I think the only thing you may have missed and not mention which you do sometimes your self is popping a 1 or a slight Ollie into the 1’s I notice you more so do an Ollie on your heal side and pop from your toes
@@MidWestJigga good point and thank you for mentioning this🤘🏽
the cam is a bit too far

@@HunterVelasco-j7t thank you for engaging and leaving a comment - it helps a lot! 🙏🏽♻️🤘🏽
What’s your stance?. I seem to not be able to do my toe turn when I try to go on goofy. I feel I’m pressing, leaning, body stack properly and still my board won’t turn. I do perfectly fine on regular hehe. Idk if it’s the stance or just a mental lock
@@eliterolo my every day stance is +15/-12. It might be a mental block, most people struggle with toe edge in their forward and switch stance, try focusing on your breath &/ or squeezing a stress ball 🤘🏽
Grass and carpet are a great. Just holding that stance and developing the strength is the main key
@@JohnnyRocket199 facts! Both have helped me🤘🏽
Is there a reason why in the US no one uses the chair guard? Is not mandatory? Just curious.
@@The-Man-On-The-Mountain it’s just a cultural difference… it’s not mandatory either.
When popping off the toe edge do land on the same edge? Or does it really matter?
@@lifeInProgress_8020 at first, I recommend landing on your heel edge. After that, toes to toes 🤘🏽
