Band: Estuarine
Song: Royalty
Album: Corporeal Furnace (releases 1/1/2025)
This video has been a long time coming and I'm super excited to finally share it!!!!!! Way back in 2021 a friend of mine who is a professional photographer happened to be in Florida with all his gear to record a wedding and he offered to shoot a video for me while he was in town. Obviously I'm not going to turn down a cool offer like that so here we are almost 4 years later with the result being the BEST looking video I've ever had! I really can't thank Andrew Rothmund enough and I always knew it was going to be the grand finale of this album roll out. As for the reason why It took so long to come out after recording, that's all my fault.. It took me a long time to finish this album and I lost my mind a few times in the process, which is why I can hardly believe that release day is so close and CDs are in stock.
As for Royalty, it's one of the Estuarine songs I would play for someone who's never heard the band before. It's got a little bit of everything I do from tech stuff, to grind stuff, some melodic parts, some slam parts, a clean part, a solo.. it's got it all in less than 4 minutes!!! The behind the nut bends in the slam part are something I'm proud off, same for the legato parts in the first verse. Lyrically, like the rest of the album, compares aspects of insect life to that of human life. This one is about favoritism, the spoiled prevail for both humans and ants..
Lyrics:
One of thousands chosen before birth. Born special destined to mature. Prioritized and groomed to rule. Heavily spoiled in larval form. Emerging from pupae with fully developed wings. Taking to the sky for one nuptial flight. Filling her spermatheca within the swarm of alate drones. Storing enough genetics to birth several generations.. Tearing off wings to mark royalty. Within her royal chamber an empire is laid. Pushing out an endless brood to enact her imperious crusade. Limiting rival colonies. Enslaving their competitions offspring. Because there can only be one.. Within her royal chamber an empire is laid. Pushing out an endless brood to enact her imperious crusade. Growing ranks. Strengthening her reign. Until a successor's chosen and the cycle begins again.

Sounds like old morbid sorta! Rock on 🤘
great stuff bro
@@neyzie Thanks man!!!!! If you like this check out my bandcamp page, I've got a lot of music over there and most of it is free. Cheers!!! \m/
@@RMAIGWawesome riffage rock on 🤘
Throw a few more genres in there noob 😂😂😂😂
Exactly. He's trying a little too hard
The guitar playing is amazing but the "singing" ruined it for me. Still badass guitar tho.
These vocals definitely aren't for everyone man, no worries lol Luckily for you I'll be uploading the instrumental version of the album a couple months after the regular version, maybe check that out in the future. Cheers!!! \m/
Love it!
Thank you!!!! \m/
Damn man, you never cease to impress with your work!
Cheers bro and thanks for all the support throughout the years!!! \m/
@RMAIGW Absolutely bro!!
soooo good, the transition from the clean part to the distorted riff *chefs kiss*
Hell yea, I'm glad you liked it man!!! I've always liked a little clean guitar to break things up \m/ that clean part was the spark that turned into this whole song actually, I love when that happens lol
very good 👏🏼
Thanks for listening, I'm glad you liked it!!! \m/
🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Thanks for listening!!!! \m/ If you like this consider checking out more on my music at estuarinemetal.bandcamp.com/album/corporeal-furnace
Sort of sounds like Morbid Angel mixed with anthrax if there ever was such a thing. Check out my riffs if interested metal heads unite 🤘
Awesome man, thanks for listening and good luck with your music!!! \m/
Check out Dinosaur Jr. too, the album Where You Been has stellar guitar work.
Cracking the Chrysalis is so effing sick, love your riffs bro.
Thanks man I appreciate it!!! \m/ I feel like this song was overlooked a little bit compared to the other singles but the people that like it seem to really like it so I'm happy lol
Yeah bro, I’m planning on bringing the 70s back with some of my music, I even dress old fashioned and smoke hand rolled ciggies, the world is ready for musicians like us, but they’ll get a taste pretty soon, I’m planning on starting a channel myself, to share the wonder of music to the masses.
That's awesome man, if you're gonna do any kind of art it's always best to go all in and try to be the whole package. You can't be shy about it at all or you're gonna have a terrible time lol I definitely wish you luck on the channel when ever you get going with that, let me know when you start releasing content and I'll be one of your first subscribers! \m/
Love it
Glad you like it dawg!!! Thanks for supporting \m/
th-cam.com/video/4QEs1sjlLYA/w-d-xo.html check out this song if you haven't already, one of the best songs ever written in my opinion.
Shit, how did i miss the band camp link, yeah im definitley picking up your albums dude!!
Awesome, thank you!!!! You're helping me get on this damn algorithms good side lol I see your order btw, thanks for the tip! Also if you didn't know already my older albums are all free on bandcamp, help yourself to more metal man \m/
@@RMAIGW I appreciate that dude, you have a sick and experimental sound that I dig a lot. I'm trying to blend a bit of dissonant tech death with the ancient ways of the Morchang, its an Indian jaw harp. And Morbid Angel and Meshuggah are some of my biggest influence's for lyrical crafting. Dude, I was checking your demo tracks and unfortunately my headphones died, because you got some good stuff cooking. I love the detailed descriptions in your songs.
@@claykitchens8961 Oh shit, dissonant tech death with jaw harp sounds crazy!!! I have a mouth harp, honestly I'm not sure if that's the same as a morchang (I'm gonna have to look that up cuz I never heard of it before) but I've used it in some songs. I like the way mine sounds with a little bit of distortion and delay as stupid as that sounds lol There's potential there for sure, make it happen!!! I'd check it out! And I love Morbid Angel and Meshuggah too, I bet we listen to a lot of the same bands in general dude, great minds think alike \m/
@@RMAIGW Hell yeah, jaw harps with effects are amazing, I'm running a compressor into three overdrive pedals, and the sound is pretty crunchy.
@@claykitchens8961 I believe it man! I've also experimented with pitch shifting mouth harp with distortion and chorus and sometimes it sounds awesome.. other times it sounds like total shit lol When it works I really like it though, it makes it sound almost like a giant guitar with like a flanger or something on it. Experimenting with musical stuff is just super fun man lol
Love your style man, what tuning is that if you don't mind me asking?
Thanks for listening man, ask all the questions you want! I'm on a 7 string so the top 6 strings are tuned down one full step to D standard, then the 7th string is dropped down to G so it's like a drop tuning where you can play power chords with one finger. Hails from Florida!!! \m/
@@RMAIGW Thanks for the reply bro! I'm definitely trying that on my seven string. I got a beat up old peavey predator that I use for pure freeform dissonance, i dont even put a tuner on it so im not sure exactly where it sits, buts it pure chaos and a lot of fun!
@@claykitchens8961 Oh dude you should, this song is super fun to play! The big trick in this one is the palm muted hammer ons and pull offs, it's easy to do but they have a cool percussive sound. And dude, my guitar is so beat up and shity.. I wouldn't trade it for anything though, fuck relying on gear lol Take what you've got and make it work! \m/
@@RMAIGW Btw, I actually hail from Georgia, so we're technically neighbors, Oh yeah have you heard of the band Replicant?
@@claykitchens8961 Yea man, Replicant is great!!! They're a band that I want to get into more actually, I've only heard maybe 5 songs of theirs but I liked all of them. They have a really cool riffing style. What album would you recommend from them?
\m/ nasty riffs bro! And that solo was sick, love that tapping part, great outro btw.
Awesome I'm glad you liked it man, thanks for listening!!! \m/
Head. Explode.
Lmao damn sorry for giving you brain damage bro.. Thanks for listening though, cheers!!! \m/
Best one yet dude!
Hell yea, thanks for listening man!!!! This is definitely one of my personal favorites off the new record \m/ HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!!!!!
Lame
end guitar solo was amazing! Nature is awesome and there are many esoteric meanings that could be taken from this song. Dont want to compare this to gorguts because that feels lazy, this is great diabolical mind warping death metal and the production feels unique. Hails from Arizona
Thanks for listening man, I'm glad you liked it!!!! You're spot on, I'm technically singing about bugs but I'm really saying more than just that if you look a little deeper.. Also I will never be mad at a Gorguts comparison, I love that band lol P.S. If you're the guy from Arizona who just preordered a CD on Bandcamp (might be a coincidence) you're really helping me keep this project going, thanks so much and hails from Florida!!! \m/
@@RMAIGW I am that guy lol. Keep at it
This song is full of so many sick riffs
Thanks man, I'm glad you like it!!! \m/ This song seems to be the most polarizing one so far which is a little bit surprising but I'm honestly kinda happy about it lol
Sweet
Thanks for listening!!! If you're interested I'll have the full playthrough of this song on my channel tomorrow at 1 o' clock, cheers \m/
Can you do something melodic? You know, something like a clean, dry or something?Don't do that.Ain't this world fucked up enough
What?? lol

No way the algorithm is being nice to me for once, that's awesome! Thanks for listening and commenting, cheers! \m/
Guitar is lost in the mix
I appreciate the feedback, cheers! \m/
Giving me some nice Gorguts vibes, really digging the dissonance.
Oh hell yea I love Gorguts! Thanks for listening \m/
Love this style of diabolical atonal death metal. Very creative playing, deserves more listens.
The atonal stuff is some of my favorite stuff too man, when bands started using more than just power cords things got so much nastier. Thanks for the kind words, cheers! \m/
sounds super weird in a good way, very unique sound
Thank you!!! I love when people call my music weird, weird is good!!! \m/
How do you make a chorus so brutal haha. Hoping there will be merch soon too.
Lmao thanks man, I'm definitely proud of that chorus! I was going almost for a slam vibe in it. And yea, I'm definitely gonna be printing CD's but as far as printing shirts and stuff I'm kinda playing it by ear and seeing how well the album does. There are some Estuarine shirts and CD's on my bandcamp already btw just nothing from this project yet (estuarinemetal.bandcamp.com) And hey man unrelated but I've been seeing you comment on a lot of these videos, it really helps me out! I need all the help fighting this algorithm I can get so thank you! \m/
@RMAIGW Hell yeah man I thought the same thing about the algo. Have just been hyped because I had bought some stuff in 2022 and you wrote on a paper saying "new music coming soon" definitely felt a lot longer than 2 years lol. Well worth the wait though. Actually discovered you in 2018 after coverkillernation shouted your new album out on one of his videos.
@@desoxyribonukleinsaureakat8579 No way, dude I remember writing that note! Yea I had a rough couple of years this definitely wasn't the plan lol All good though, thanks for being patient! I'll let you in on a secret actually, this is one of 4 albums that I've been working on so I'm planning on being more consistent for the next few years. I probably just jinxed that but whatever.. I didn't know that coverkillernation covered me though, that was one of the first metal youtubers I ever heard of I'm gonna have to hunt that down now! \m/
Love that dimebag feel towards the end
Nice!!! He's definitely one of the kings of that tapping slide thing. If you haven't heard of him yet Jake E. Lee is also really good for that kind of stuff and the band Cephalic Carnage was the first place I heard it on their song dying will be the death of me. Thanks for the comment, cheers!!! \m/
Yes definitely getting that jazzy vibe.. Crushin it!!!
Thank you good sir!!!! I'm liking doing these shorts lol

That's not death metal dude.
Isn't it?
What is it then
Black techno pop metal ?
@@Donald18838barcode black pop metal
I don't know man, I think it's pretty clearly death metal. Not super generic death metal but death metal non the less. I'll hear you out though if you want to elaborate, what's keeping it from being death metal and if it's not death metal what is it?
Innovative
Awesome, thanks for listening! Yea this is my first time trying something like this with the thumb tapping, I have a feeling there's a lot of untapped potential to explore.. no pun intended. Cheers! \m/
Wow very impressive 🔥🎸🔥 😎🤘
