It is a new IV and since he’s no longer in the band I think he would want people to know to check him out. His solo stuff is under “Kubrick”

I do feel like they should just put on a performance when people pay to see the show... Like, we can all listen to the album, that isn't why we came to a gig. Growing up the only band in my circle doing anything even remotely close to these guys (bearing in mind it's mid to late 2000s in London), was probably Enter Shikari, obviously not as technical as Polyphia by any stretch of the imagination, but they were trying the same thing of bringing guitars and "heavy/punk" culture to popular music, which was very EDM and Dubstep at the time. I still love the band but they were shocking live, it's hard to pull off all the technical stuff they do. Not instrument playing, but loops, and effects and all that stuff. So instead of worrying about it sounding like the album (because it never would) they just performed their arses off instead, and quite frankly I think I prefer it.
Great band. Literally love their music. NOT their best showing of OD…

I like how both musicians on the left move and groove and all that (yes clay is the focus of that but Scott does some bouncing and moves his feet as well) and then Tim is off on the right entirely stationary head down through nearly the whole set
The sheer talent and skill of every single member of this band wasted in a group where theres no vocalist to represent the energy that Clay showed in the beginning. Dont get me wrong i love their music. But imagine them with a vocalist. They would of won everysingle award there is to have.

Excuse me but the whole point is that they don't need a singer since guitarist is singing.. it's like wanting the song altitudes or perpetual burn by Jason Becker with singing. It's ridiculous
@@esotericheretic3740 yeah, i dont mean to discredit the musicians, because they're beyond amazing, but i just think that to achieve a grammy award or more recognision which they deserve, there should be a vocalist. So people could sing along the amazing song and perhaps spread a certain message. But it may be that they just dont want that,
If there were vocals they’d have to remove some of the epic riffs and I listen to polyphia for the epic composition which would just get ruined with vocals

The fact that Tim can play OD live at all is fucking nuts. Learn it if you haven’t already and you’ll see what I mean - that piece is nuts difficult even by Polyphia standards
haha, came back from learning the song myself, best I can do and still sound clean is around 80-85% speed, the original speed is crazy exhausting. I can definitely see why Tim messed up notes on this performance, and how he can still play on that level facing a large crowd is beyond me
Other Polyphia songs also feel the same bro...
Which is supported by the fact that you can hear even them having some struggles with it live lol, completely understandable tho

@@whit3teajia901 For real! the chorus is literally all arpeggio. Every note is isolated to be 100% correct. Every other factor adds on to make this a pretty hefty undertaking to perform live .

All you people hating on Clay Gober clearly need to pick up an instrument for yourself. Clay is an incredible, innovating bassist and a fun-loving guy. Just because you can’t hear the detail in his playing in this specific recording and see him dancing like a madman doesn’t mean you have anything on him that justifies shitting on him as a musician. Watch his videos of him isolated playing bass, or pickup their tab book, and you’ll see how complicated his stuff really is

Everything is clear on bass. I think people may need to invest in good headphones. The bass stick guitars and drums together and he does even more on chosen moments. The main focus of this band is guitars.....
