Good video. Nowadays there is more variety in games than ever, if you look past major releases.

Not a doom gamer at all, but I watched it anyway because that attitude is so far from my own gaming life, but I totally get it. I used to be a fan of some bigger franchises in the past and they always ended up disappointing me, still in the era of physical copies, so I quit buying the newest releases. I abandoned physical copies with pain in my heart because I like STUFF (hoarding tendencies), but buying digital games has opened up so many new experiences for me. In stead of seeing what is being pushed in a store, I can just look around for hours and click on whatever looks interesting at the time, put it on a wish list, read reviews, keep an eye on sales.... Total "game changer" for me ^^ I do fear that game servers will be taken offline though, but most of the games of my choice offer possibilities of having your own dedicated server.

My friends its pointless to figth against us, for 1 of us, there is 100 people who support or dont care, so we cant change nothing

Ah, finally! A kindred spirit. I've realised the problem is, trying something new takes time, effort and sticking with what you know and then moaning about it is easy and cathartic. Also, most "gamers" these days are mass market consumers. They buy what's advertised to them, they're not "hobbyists" trying out new games and gettin gud.

Great Video Tbh, i'll just leave my list of Games I Think Are Worth It for each console ( And pc ig ) For Ps5 / Ps4 / Xbox Series X|S / Xbox One / ( High End ) Pc, PLAY ELDEN RING GODDAMNIT, I Know so many people who STILL haven't played this legendary game. For Nintendo Switch, The Legend Of Zelda Tears Of The Kingdom ( and if 70 dollars is too much then i'd say get breath of the wild but most people have played that so i'm just gonna say skyward sword hd ) Yeah thats about it.

One small correction I would like to make: 99/100, the developers are not the greedy ones, the publishers are. And in 9999/10000 cases, no one who actually helped make the game is the greedy one, it’s some C-suite executive in their ivory tower crunching numbers that does it. The remaining examples are scams from the start (*cough cough* Days Gone *cough cough*)

The solution is simple: stop playing AAA games and go indie. You'll find a world that AAA can't even imagine.

Gaming is dead though. I do not play AAA slop, i haven't touched call of duty in 15 years i play indie games and they're all bad i get a steam refund ususally because i know i won't enjoy the game within 2 hours.

Its interesting that gaming often gets reduced to the AAA(A) industry. The gaming industry woulnd be phased mich by all of the big shots dying. Because there already is a sprawling Indie scene that still havent switcht to the dark side.

any game over 25GB is still not owned by you, unfortunately. New phisical storage mediums are coming to solve this problem, but they will be as or more expensive as blueray when it first hit the stores. keep speaking truth to power though, i agree with ,uch of what you are saying.

Can someone reccomend me a good multiplayer game? I have looked at multiplayer games to play and all of them just seems like bland shooters i don't care about or overwatch which makes me want to die from simply opening it What good multiplayer games do you like? Maybe a good co-op game would be cool as currently the only multiplayer game i know that seems worth playing to me is terraria

I think one of the problems is that everyone thinks every year is gonna be another 1996, 1998, 2007, or 2017. When those are the greatest year in gaming ever, not every year is gonna be like that, but every year has at least a couple good games.

Do good games even exist anymore? Yeah, people play bad games, but it's either that or play nothing at all. I opt for the latter option or then I just play old classics, but good games aren't really being made anymore. The only exception that I'm actually excited for might be the Gothic Remake, I really hope that it might actually be a good game worth playing.

I dont play bad video games, which is why I stick to the ones I have been playing for decades now and the few indie games I like. AAA is filled to the brim with monetization and other anti consumer tactics, bare bones games with graphics that are suppose to compensate for the lack of any real content and variety of gameplay, games that are either not like they were advertised or outright broken on release or better yet hidden features the company hoped no one would not noticed until everyone had already bought the games. Then theres the remakes, something that exists purely to rape what was once a classic game into something that can be easily sold to the modern gamer who has been slowly made accostumed to the previously mentioned indsutry standards, censoring and removing content, changing artstyles and designs with this new version of the game being the one that any new games to the series will be based on once the company has manage to molest the rest of the classics. Theres people out there telling me this is the golden age of gaming, that we have never had it better than before, that everythings fine and dandy and I should just shut the fuck up and buy these games I dont want to play, support these games with features and policies I dont want to support and stop complaining that people dont see anything wrong with the things I dont like because thats just me being an anti fun douchebag who hates peoples fun and has no actual reasons to hate things.

My last AAA game was Cyberpunk 2077, prior to that was ACreed Origins only because so many friends told me it was actually good... it wasn't. Then prior to that was Dragon Age Inquisition, don't give your time or money to a game just because you saw a pretty ad. Try things that look weird, try things outside any genre you've ever played. There are games where the entire point is making friends.

gaming isnt dead at all there are so many good AA and indie games out there the only shitty game are the mainstream AAA games and thats still not 100% true since there are companies out there like fromsoft

I personally don't think gaming is dead, I'm always blowing through games too fast (plus, not many friends play the same stuff I do _wheeze_ )

That's why im playing Fallout New Vegas and Hotline Miami nowadays. We have a great selection of games, but you need to get out of the internet echo chamber.

The fact is that there aren't many great games out there. The last great games I played were basically Kingdom Hearts 3 and Ni No Kuni 2. I can't stand hyperrealism or anything with adult themes.

A thing to add to this discussion is that the majority of console sales come from casual gamers and people seem to forget that. I’d love for the industry to change by working together. But again the average person buying a console whether it be PlayStation, Xbox or Nintendo - Buy said consoles for shooters, party games, sports games and that’s all they use it for. It’s not the more dedicated or hardcore gamer and at the end of the days those people don’t care about gaming news or presentations or drama.

I buy games digitally but I am also very much an "If buying isn't owning then piracy isn't stealing" type of gamer
