Working Man’s Revolution
United States
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 20 ธ.ค. 2021
Were a relatively small homestead trying to become more self sufficient. A very small commercial Black Angus cattle operation. Handling, and raising cattle from calf to table. Homesteading, preparedness, integrity, what it means to be an American, patriotism. Becoming a better person every day. Helping others, without expecting anything in return.
How can we take a step back and regain our independence from current societal expectations. Re-evaluating our current existence and finding ways to take responsibility for our lives. Becoming more independent and less reliant on government, Walmart’s, strip malls, or others in general.
Through strategies that we develop to create independence we can focus on things like raising our own livestock, growing our own vegetables, gathering and treating water, preserving foods, to reducing our time spent aimlessly swiping our phones, determining how to make ourselves less of a target during hard times, or finding a deeper reason for our lives.

5 Things You Need to Know Before Buying a Homestead
Here is a list of 5 things you really need to know and understand before getting started with a homestead, or in purchasing animals. This list isn't meant to deter anyone from getting animals, or getting started in their homesteading life. Rather, its meant to ensure you know what you're getting into before jumping in. Many people jump in without fully knowing what is involved with homesteading, and become disillusioned, and give up. Im hoping to help people know what to expect before making a life altering commitment. I hope this is helpful to you.
Id love to read about your experiences from your time working with animals, or your homestead. Please leave a comment.

Homestead Project, Shed Build Part 5 Standing Up the Trusses
มุมมอง 464 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
In this post I continue building the shed, erecting the trusses. The wind had been bad multiple days. So it took longer to get this phase done, but we finally got it done. We built the trusses in part 1. In this post we get them stood up. I show what its like doing all these things by yourself. It can be done with one person. Maybe not the best option. But it can be done.

I show the building of the floor with joists. Installing plywood for the floor. Creating a jig for the trusses, and building the trusses themselves. I go in depth of how I went about determining the layout and cuts for the truss pieces. I show the layout of the trusses that I draw onto the floor of the shed to ensure all the angles are correct, and that everything will fit properly. I show the ...

Halloween Hayride in Wyoming. Country Livin'
มุมมอง 3214 วันที่ผ่านมา
Because our community is spread out so far, its very difficult for kids to do any kind of normal trick or treating. So, the fire department created a fun event for the kids and adults as well. A Halloween Hayride. We put on side boards on a couple of trailers. Line up straw bales on the outside. Then load them up with kids and "senior kids" and drive around the community. Its a really fun eveni...

@ Not really! 😄 it’s really up to each of us to set our own rules, structures, etc.. @HomesteadMadeEasy created a format; you can review his (he’s got a website mapping it all out)- but he’s not homesteading /or sharing homesteading tips yet 😆worth connecting with him and checking it out!
