You just have to use the jump-glide (press x to jump and then hold triangle to glide before Bubsy does his little mid-air spin)

A reboot of what I first made in my old channel RoosterGamer420. I absolutely adore this game. At the time of this video I already beaten this game 38 times, but I loved it since my first playthrough and never had any trouble with it. @@Nurah.S.S Bubsy 3D is literally my favorite game of all time. The controls took me a bit to get used to at first, but once you get them they feel super snappy and precise. Not to mention, the level design, music and visuals (yes, the visuals) are fantastic, and the comedy is impeccable. If I had to give it a rating it'd be a 9.5/10

people say busby is annoying in this level, and i understand. but you do have to remember that this was the first game of it's kind developed, so it makes sense that there would be a lot of guiding required in a new, not yet seen world.
@@davidthecommenter I personally find Bubsy's voice cute. And yeah, he only talks this much in the first level and it's a tutorial so it's justified. This game's actually great by the way, it's just a matter of getting used to the control scheme like in many other early 3D platformers.

Earthworm Jim 3D se me hace el mejor de la saga en PC, la versión de Nintendo 64 es de mucha menor calidad. Si te lo compras en Steam es probable que necesites un parche para que salga la música. No se porque pero solo le pasa eso a la versión de Steam.

Bubsy 3D is fantastic, lovely and has a trippy atmosphere. That's one of the reasons it's my favorite game of all time. I love these kind of cartoon/surreal aesthetics.

@@s2driven It's a great game in my opinion, on the same level as Spyro 1. If you're planning on playing it, just take your time and experiment with the controls before doing anything, and read the manual.
Wow, you play this game really good. I had Bubsy 3D back then but the way I've played it, I often took my time, but here you make it look easy & fast. Even today, I'm still having a hard time getting that good, hehe. It must have taken you years of practice playing it on-and-off? There were other PS1 games that I really enjoyed that were considered "bad" or "mediocre" (in particular Batman & Robin, Broken Helix, PS1 Shadowman & PS1 Hexen) that I managed to play like a pro. Indeed though, it took me years to get to a pro level, which made it more fun for me, getting better & better each year (even still today) throughout my life each playthrough. I imagine mastering Bubsy 3D is like the same process for you? Bubsy 3D and Spawn The Eternal I still can't master, but I wish I could. 😆
I got the hang of Bubsy 3D's controls since my very first playthrough. Of course I did improve over time, but it always has been easy and fluid to me. I've been playing Bubsy 3D for less than 3 years, but it is my most played console game ever, and in my rightful opinion, my favorite game of all time and the best game in the Bubsy series. TLDR: I got the hang of it from the get-go, but I did become better at it and discover new fun movement tricks over time. The problem many people have is that the controls are very different from what they're used to from a 3D platformer (thank Super Mid 64 for that). They aren't bad in the slightest (in fact they're very fluid and responsive), but they can be a drastic change from what people are used to.
It’s not terrible the gaming but the worse of this game are the grafics that look like an demo of an SNES game.
For some reason, I always thought Bubsy 3D was a cancelled Panasonic 3DO game or something like that which got moved over to the PS1. There were quite a lot of 3DO games that did that.

Nice! I've played this game since 2020, and contrary to my expectations back then, I absolutely loved it! Definitely one of the best PS1 platformers alongside the likes of Spyro. It's not a bad game at all.
I literally got high off this game and it had me cackling like Cheech and Chong
This looks fun, the voice acting rules. The one-liners remind me of a manic bobcat version of Duke Nukem. I came here to see "one of the worst games ever" but this ain't that!
As someone whose favorite game of all time is Bubsy 3D, I can confirm it's far from one of the "worst games ever". It's just that people expect a 3D platformer to play like Mario 64. Once you learn the controls this game has some of the best level design I've ever seen in a platform game imo.

I unironically adore this game and I'm glad to show it to the world. Btw unlike most Bubsy games, Bubsy 3D is pretty easy. I would compare its difficulty to a Kirby game.

Great game. I remember that every magazine listet it as worst game at that time. As a kid I liked the huge maps / open world feeling and of course collecting the rocket blueprints.
It is indeed a great game! People panned it so hardly just because it didn't follow the same formula as Super Mario 64, which I think is a stupid "reason" for criticism. One should learn to appreciate things for what they are, not for what they think they "should be".
@@thebubsy3dgamer i don't remember literally anyone comparing the game to SM64. it's just an ugly looking game with bad controls, but the problem is, there will always be some weirdos who have a fetish for liking certain piece of shit games.
Back in late 1996, the only thing I remember some critics hated more was 3DO Doom, and in very early 1997 Sega Saturn Doom. Gameplay wise, Bubsy 3D was much more stable and ran better.

Where did you find this? How could I download it?
I downloaded a ROM and played it on RetroArch mobile. Looking back, I'd recommend using DuckStation instead since RetroArch's touch controls aren't very good.

This game is so bad that it's good.
Bubsy 3D is not bad at all. On the contrary, I unironically found it to be an amazing game, and a far better experience than the majority of other 5th gen platformers. The controls are really responsive, the level design is superb and the soundtrack is fantastic. I'd even go as far as saying it has really good graphics, surreal and cartoony, and coupled with incredibly expressive animation. I'm 100% sure you haven't played it at all and just assumed it was "bad" from a youtube clown playing it like if they were drunk while """"criticizing"""" the game just for not being like other platformers while doing stupidly unnecessary comparisons to Super Mario 64. ...and if I were to talk like y'all ignorant fools, Mario pfp, opinion invalidated.
