      Yep, we'd be surprised if thrusters weren't in there - it had predicted them for 24.2 though so that's probably why it's not got them in this time.

    Nah. Already tested snatches. It will be an A/B workout with a Max. Squat Clean or Max. Squat Clean Thruster. The A will keep with the inclusive theme - prolly T2B and shuttle run in a ladder or something like that.

    All well and good with all these new competitions like hyrox etc but a tad unfair as a lot of guys are juiced up to their eyeballs!

      We found a lot of people at these events are doing them as a personal challenge, so taking part in a few throughout the year and seeing their own improvement rather than as super serious competitiors

    Thanks mate! Loved how you kept it simple. I've got one question that I'd like to bounce off you. I typically train first thing in the morning as soon as I wake up and I've always hated training on a full stomach. So I have taken to training fasted. I actually find that I have a better workout session when I train fasted as opposed to training after eating something so early in the morning. DO you think that is causing me to lose muscle? Would you recommend I change that habit? Cheers!

      Thanks for the comment and glad it was helpful. Obviously everyone is different, and how you feel is a key part of training. If you feel you do better in your workouts by doing them fasted then in some respects that as important as anything else. That said, if you’re pretty lean you might be using your body’s energy stores up early on in your session and start metabolising muscle, so it might be worth trying a few things like a protein shake as soon as you can post session, or moving your workout later on in the day to see if that helps with maintaining muscle mass.

      I disagree with the carbohydrate sparing. Check out the Andrew huberman podcast on fat loss. Fasted HIIT is one of the best ways to lose fat. I would also say Individuals respond different to carbs - some individuals blow up in weight and need a high fat high protein ie Endomorph

      To build on from my last point, I think this highlights the trouble for generalised fitness advice. In truth we are all individual and a routine that works for you must be refined over years of usually trial and error. What i see is loads of mesmorph types instructing others what works for them

      Absolutely agree, everyone has their own response to whatever nutrition - but obviously on a TH-cam channel we're only able to give generalised advice. One of the things we mention in the video is to give yourself a baseline, and I think that advice applies regardless of body type. Test yourself and find what works for you 👍🏻

    What to do if you have to workout late on the evening, can I have a protein shake after ? That would be an hour before bed?

      As with all these things, it depends! You'll benefit from the post-workout fuel, but I'd try hard not to over-eat so close to bedtime so you're not too stimulated from the food. It's probably worth experimenting a little with the size of smoothie you have and see what works best for you.
