Unbelievable amount of rust. Save whatever you can. You'll know to apply plenty of rust protection on the new shell

Just found your channel and subscribed. Love the fact that you are restoring these cars from the max power era. Have you seen the mitsubishi fto which is on the ‘top dead center’ you tube channel ? I think this would be right up your street as apparently is an ex max power car and is for sale. Just gonna have a bit of a binge and watch some of your previous videos. Keep up the good work 👌🏾👍🏾

Finding rust is the easy part but finding ALL the rust, thats the real challenge 😂 i approve of your rust detecting tool though, keep at it🤘😎👌

My sister had a corsa b for first car bought this bought this body kit for it so i fitted it resprayed it the arden blue, it looked mint until a couple of months later she was driving the car to my unit slid the car on a patch of ice in the shade sideways into the kurb that hard it bent the rear axle which bent the mounting points for it and bent the front wishbone and pushed that mounting point back so wrote the car off which was sad because i had redtop and f20 box for it and was going to start putting it in that day

Should tigra swap the front end of u could get your hands on a tigra for cuts be cool

Still blows my mind how crazy you Poms went with these things They were sold here in Australia as a Holden Barina and even during the height of the Sex Spec/AutoSalon Era NO ONE built them They are still plentiful on our roads though, see them all the time, if you get stuck Id suggest looking to Oz to import one as an absolute last resort

One big mistake everyone made back then was smoothing everything together. It made repair work a disaster. Cut the skirts off in a nice straight line so they can be refitted like that. The bumpers looks good although if I was painting I'd 100% go for the Caribic blue (green)

I didnt grow up with the max power era in NZ. On first impresions: the fit n finish looks to me to be rough.

I remember this from back in the day and saw it at the Max Power Reunion. Fair enough it’s not perfect, but overall is in incredible condition bearing in mind the mods were done 20 years ago. Really pleased to see it is in good hands as the car is an absolute icon of the Max Power era.

Try not to get to close to another cars mirror out on the open road ! That doors going to have its own Sui side l😁

Firstly I'd like to say a HUGE THANKYOU to EVERY single LEGEND, that held on to those Escorts, Sierras, R5's, Corsas and all of the pre 2005 specimens that could have been lost back then to the p.o.s government scrappage scheme. 2nd, Thanks Tom for taking us round it, and finally Rayne for some sweet lil sounds to tie it all together in a pretty lil bow.
