Josef - Model Railway & Toy Room 149 Canal Progress Adding Chooch Flex UV Water Effect Gorilla Gel
TADA,
Finally a welcome distraction beside the petroleum depot we still have plenty more on the canal coming up but we need to get moving as we are about to feature the other side taking shape. here we use the UV resin water effect some Woodland Scenids Realistic Water and Water Ripples along with teh Chooch Flexible Walls and we continue a light bit of backline ballast I had the wrong static grass applicatior so results are not great BUT rest assured we still need some trees but until we do the next scene behind the control tower beside it then we need to leave out options open. this is also the first time using Gorilla Gel Glue and Iam pretty impressed so far just make sure you SHAKE IT WELL LOL. Like a Polaroid Picture.

@@DBtrainfanatic I don’t know, did it? The question reads like a statement so if you’ve plugged them in and realize that it was wrong, my suggestion is you unplugged them and plug them into a lighting hub as opposed the expansion one I can’t see it would be the end of the world they just come on at full brightness, but if they’re not Woodland branded ones and or don’t have a resistor then yes so if you’ve plugged them in and haven’t switched it on then unplugged them and I would recommend plugging them into the correct thing and you should be just fine thanks for taking a peep. I was hoping to find a video like yours. When I asked the question of using non-Woodland Scenics lights on another forum, I was told that it was not a good idea because of voltage differences. Your video suggests otherwise. I thought it would be strange that modeling LEDs wouldn't be somewhat universal. Anyhow, thanks for your help. Moving forward here in the PNW.

@@davidstephens8550 there are some exceptions, but the easy way to find out is to plug it in and gently bring it up if it’s not lighting up or working, don’t panic about it. You’ll need to do something else or research the product you have but for 99.9% of all the LEDs on the layout it’s fine with the exception of the Smiths chips factory and the bowling alley which have special 4.5 V rails but the rest it’s fine on my engine shed which I haven’t done a video on just yet I have the basement lights and they are just hardwired straight to the 12 V power rail, but the restaurant dimmer is up to an including a spectacular video you’re about to see at the end of January and the unveiling of the final product will be on 7 February and that’s another great example of what the Woodland scenic system can do with a whole bunch of mixed match lights so please stay tuned for that oh and they’ll be another one coming up in mid February as well where we once again take some Chinese cheap LEDs and have more wonderful success so please do stay tunedThanks for taking a peep and thanks for the comment and the great support. Hi, a great idea to build a bowling alley, but my OCD has kicked in as the guy about to release his ball is standing too far to the right and the ball will go straight into the gutter. Assuming he is a pro bowler and hocks the ball into the pocket he would release the ball straight over around the 3rd board in (or 3") from the right side of the lane, whereas you have him releasing it about 6" past the right side of the lane. Sorry to be a rivet counter on what is an excellent layout by a very skilful modeler, it's just my OCD kicking in :)

2001 walkers took over smiths in the uk if I’m not mistaken and being in Australia with a mostly UK layout working in an era of late 60s through to early 90s I thought this is not bad. And the ironic thing is the day after I did the video I saw a brand new smiths trucks pull out of the car park and thought damn I nailed as a side by side comparison oh wel. Maybe we will see more of this truck in the future. Stay safe and thanks for watching. Who knows maybe some pork scratchings will appear somewhere.

@@johnebuckland thanks for the comment and taking a peep this particular section still has a long way to go but it’s certainly got the potential. The real question is will we see the trains running by this Christmas?
