My favorite author of all time! His life story is so touching. He is buried here with his son. He stopped writing after his son's death. He would tell his son stories of Toad to soothe him to sleep. Thank you for bringing us here and paying respects.

I just finished my MFA in creative writing. I owe it to GOD and Tolkien. They're the two best authors I know.

Excellent cemetery seek Cap'n! The wind will constantly be our enemy in audio until at least May I fear haha! I adore the stones against the wall with their spooky cherub faces. Lookit those walls made of friggin' headstones!! I've never seen that before. Thanks for taking us to see Jonathan Swifts grave on such a beautiful day!

Can I make a request of a place to explore? I'd like to see the Medmenham Abbey in the Wycombe district of Buckinghamshire, England. It is on the River Thames, about 3 1⁄2 miles (5.6 km) southwest of Marlow and 3 miles (4.8 km) east of Henley-on-Thames. It's been said that in 1751, Dashwood leased Medmenham Abbey on the Thames from a friend, Francis Duffield. On moving into the Abbey, Dashwood had numerous expensive works done on the building. It was rebuilt by the architect Nicholas Revett in the style of the 18th century Gothic revival. At this time, the motto Fais ce que tu voudras(do what thou wilt) was placed above a doorway in stained glass. It is thought that William Hogarth may have executed murals for this building; none, however, survives. Underneath the Abbey, Dashwood had a series of caves carved out from an existing one. I'd love to see the inside and the tunnels...if they still exist. There's not much on the Abbey online.

Thanks for the recommendation. The only stuff that I can find online about Medmenham Abby is making it look like a private residence, so it looks like I can't visit there.

I contacted a man, who's job is to explore and study tunnels under England, about the Abbey as I read somewhere that there's tunnels underneath. He hasn't replied yet. I've also learned of another Hellfire meeting place is Ireland called the Steward’s House (Killakee House, Rathfarnham Dublin). It's the second meeting place in town. My issue with the Killakee house is that there's no pictures of the inside....which was my issue with the abbey. I just can't believe that such places exist but are barely documented.

In 0:47 you answered one of my questions... can people go inside? and the answer is...no. I've wondered why there wasn't any great pictures of the center piece.

As much as I love old boats & the sound of being on water, I'm very seasick haha! This was amazing! A great idea to have hologram like people acting out on the ruins. Adding this one to my venture list.
