    As for the question about "racist" zoning practices, stop! Many people simply want to keep urban sprawl out of their rural neighborhoods.

    Geoff seems like a genuinely interesting and deeply insightful individual. The sound and "texture" of his lyrics is one of the core reasons that drew me to Thursday in the first place and helped inspire my own writing style. I'm glad to see the technique cross over into the novel. I will definitely check it out. I wonder if there is an audiobook version?

    A little suggestion: white Americans are not the greatest white people, and Black Americans are not the greatest descendants of enslaved African people. GET OVER IT! You Americans are not especially special. Who had the only successful slave uprising in the history of the trans-Atlantic slave trade? American enslaved people? NO! It was enslaved people in French Haiti. IS THEIR STORY LESS THAN THEIRS? What do you know anything of the history of the other 96% Africans who were part of the trans-Atlantic slave trade? Do you know anything about them at all? Jesus, even in cruelty and suffering Americans have to be the best and have to be exceptional! "There were no African enslaved people like us. We were the greatest enslaved people of all - YES! - the 4% of the enslaved Africans who came to the lily white Anglo Protestant states of North America!" Question: do you think Black Americans (ADOS) are the best of all the people who were enslaved as part of the trans-Atlantic slave trade? That you ADOS are superior to all the other Black DOS - the other 96% - who are not American? I think you do, just because you're American. America fucked you up, but you're still proud to be an American, the greatest country on earth. You’ve got the same prejudices about non-Americans as your former enslavers. How interesting!

  • @nigelralphmurphy2852
    @nigelralphmurphy2852 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Hang on, before you go on with the rah rah self praise, 96% of the enslaved African people who were brought across the Atlantic went to the Caribbean and South America. Only 4% went to America. That is 407,000 out of 12 million people! Almost half - 5.5 million - were sent to Brazil alone. Is this man saying that only the 4% of the African enslaved people who were brought across the Atlantic to the United States of America became great, wise, inventive, and overcame their enslavement on every level of human experience? Isn't that a little arrogant (as in American arrogant)? Are you being American? But this time in terms of the African American enslaved people being by far and away the greatest enslaved people of the whole trans-Atlantic slave trade? Check your American privilege! You're thinking and sounding like a white American! The Chinese were right it seems when they said if you live next to vermillion you become red, and if you live next to ink you become black. Sounds like if you live next to white racists you become a little bit white racist, even if you're black.

    What trash, same regurgitated BS that Howard Zinn wrote in his" the peoples history" book 30+ years ago, probably verbatim. I doubt there is one original conclusion made in this 2.0 book, than in Zinn's. Every decade some idiot pretends to spit up new ideas, backed by the same communist that enjoy watching ignorant Americans buy into this, divide and conquer propaganda. For God sake people, educate yourself and don't be suckered by haters that make a buck like pimps, race pimps. There is a book, can't think now, that debunks all these lies.

    My Radiology professor, Linday Rowe, would always talk about Luigi when he discussed Paget's Disease. An abnormal growth of bone after adulthood. Often the first sign is that the hat is getting smaller. His bony auditory canals became narrower, starting to give him tinnitus and then complete deafness. He also would be suffering from horrible joint pains. Despite this he gave us some of the greatest works in musical history.
