For all of you wondering, its Automotive vinyl being used, and he is using a contact cement that is the clear chemical he whipes on after sandong anf cleaning the dashpad. Im currently doing similar but i used wood filler instead of bondo to seal the cracks. Using black automotive vinyl and 3M Super 88 spray adhesive and a heat gun.

For smaller, narrow cracks I used JB Weld. Repair in place.
