I saw this movie on The Big One in Londen in April 2023. I was inspired by the resistance and resilience of the citizens and the climate-activists and completely disgusted by the repression and action of police and compagnies. The movie left my in tears and only encouraged my activism cause we are in the endgame !!

The 40 minutes of this extraordinary film were spellbindingly inventive, beautiful (sound as well as imagery), and very meaningful at both political and personal levels. An amazing work of art. Watch it all if you can, more than once. Congratulations Nicolas, and also Laetitia Douanne who did the sound which contributed so much.

Thank you so much for this Q and A, I must admit I was pretty traumatised by the film. I think it's the most distressing film I've ever watched, particularly as I know it's based on a brutal ongoing reality. The comments by the 2 guest speakers and Marion really helped me put it into context. I spent 4 months in Colombia in 1997 and was told about so called 'red zones', but I never understood what was going on there. I remember a man on a horse told me to 'turn back' (that was in a coffee growing region somewhere), for me it was just an adventure to go 'off the beaten track'. I'll be reading more about the conflict and the peace and reconciliation process.

Thank you for showing this film. Loved both the book and the film.
