I was just thinking about this, and recently. Some people, and women believe it or not, feel they do have to make others feel small in order to shine. And it's pathetic that it's stretching to your culture just because you're not the same as them. Your name, dresscode, customs, etc. for whatever reason, they don't want to adapt and adjust to see you as you are. Everyone talks about inclusivity but doesn't want to be educated when it comes to other cultures. And yeah, often with some people they often are intimidated, insecure, ignorant, uneducated, or- they only want a "version" of you that they'll accept. Keep being your gorgeous strong self, they have to adapt.

I've been reflecting about my hang-ups with change. My life is one of a lot of transition. From the early days of smoking weed and sitting at home waiting for things to happen, to losing a hundred pounds and moving from the East coast to the West. Yet I'm getting hung up again because I know I need to go through another change--catch the wave if you will--but my mind's resistance is strong and fighting me every step of the way.
