If you think about it pragmatically, The Baron’s not much cop as an amateur sleuth, is he? He’s consistently getting knocked over the head/tied up/imprisoned/captured. And Cordelia’s a total waste of time too.

Funny how the nurse locked Mannering and the sick woman in the room - when the keys were clearly shown to be on the INSIDE!!!!!
