Won SS class with a 31.247s time on my 4th run, placing 25th overall in raw time and 31st in PAX with 174 cars running. Unfortunately my data feed from the car didn't work properly so the video only has speed and track position this time. One of our simpler courses this time... there and back again! First place in SS at the August '23 Spokes/SASCA autocross. A much higher speed course than normal with several spots for various line interpretations. PAX was 29th of 169, raw was 26th. Embarrassed to say my second run of five was the fastest. SoloStorm tells me I should have hit a 45.524 if I could have pieced together the best parts of each run - so I never had that unicorn perfect run from ...

Car is a stock '22 GT4 running 200 treadwear Nankang CR-S. Saved second place by a clean last run at 41.766 seconds. SS class was super-competitive this time. Congrats to Jeffrey for a well-deserved first! I was much farther behind my usual placement in raw and PAX results this event (32nd and 42nd respectively). I seemed much more jerky in my motions than usual... I gotta work on that! I'm sus...

My best run of the day - 46.634 seconds. Good enough for an SS class win, 16th of 188 drivers in PAX and 21st/188 fastest raw time. I got sloppy with hand positioning once again, plus I didn't carry as much speed into turns as I could have. I maxed out at 0.78 longitudinal G's (braking) where I'm normally over 1G when braking into a turn.

My last and fastest run in the Hill Country Region PCA (Porsche Club) Spring '23 autocross. There was a lot of fierce competition for the top spots with 60 cars running. There were mostly Porsches but almost as many other brands as well. The course was a lower-speed one with lots of quick back and forth maneuvering... just watch my hands! Saw this last night looking north from AA 764 near the Texas Louisiana border. This isn't sped up but some of the most blurry sections were edited out and the black level was brought up to make it easier to see. The camera focus was having a hard time. It was a new experience for me!

My fastest run of the day @ 28.894, fast enough to eke out my third SS class win out of three events so far this year. The raw time was the 15th fastest of 190 cars in the event today and placed 22nd in PAX. And I was glad to see my passenger seemed to enjoy it! This course was the quickest and shortest so far this year. The completion was close between the SS class Porsches making it for a fun...

While I managed to win SS class, I only placed 29th of 187 in raw time and 31st in PAX. This was my fastest run of the day despite it not being my cleanest. I did especially poorly in the long slalom this run and scrubbed a lot of speed by failing to backside the cones properly and almost losing it near the end. Fortunately a strong early start gave me enough of a lead to make up for it.

I managed to win SS class today. I was also pleased that my raw time ranked 11th out of 200 cars. So overall it was a good day! However, I failed to get clean data and video for my fastest run. The run shown here was a quarter second slower and I didn't get good data for it either, so here is the raw video. This was my fastest run at 39.668 but unfortunately it wasn't clean since I apparently nipped a cone somewhere. I thought I had taken the win when I saw the timer! But oh well. The penalty dropped me from what would have been first in SS class to a third. With this run I took second place, missing first by 87 thousandths of a second. Too bad I had that little slide at around the 33 second point in the video!
