I tried sketching for a week
Apologies for the reupload. This past week was a short one due to being busy. I took the time to learn sketching while traveling. I used to draw and learn art a bit as teen but fell off it as I became more technologically inclined. Learning about architectural sketching, Studio Ghibli architecture, and classical portraits through renaissance art taught me a lot. I learned more on Italian Renaissance, High Renaissance, Leonardo Davinci, and many other arts.

I spent a week learning Front End Development
มุมมอง 1.5K21 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
This past week was a long one. I took the time to learn Front End Development. I'm no stranger to coding but learning the React framework and understanding how actual website design works humbled my thought process on it all. Learning about true HTML, CSS, and Javascript alongside React and Github again, then learning Tailwind and Next.js was a lot! Here is the video from @frontend-tribe : th-c...

Budget Intro Cinema Lenses || Sirui Nightwalker Trio
มุมมอง 1K9 หลายเดือนก่อน
I grabbed the trio of lenses back in October after a lot of thought and have been strictly using them for all my videos. Before I knew it, 6 months have passed. Thanks to them, I feel like I've improved more as a filmmaker then I ever though I could. They are definitely not for everyone since they're specifically cinema lenses that require work and more care in filming. If you've been using aut...

bahaha very relatable to be trying to learn a skill and then get distracted by wanting to learn about the artists' lives (which were quite fascinating). and thank you for showing us you're struggling sphere - we need to be reminded of how learning new skills really looks sometimes. 😅
My sphere is doing its best. It's not rolling out shining correctly, but it's going someplace someday 😂
you never cease to amaze me with how adept you are at...everything you try! this was such a hefty skill to develop in a week, most of us are scared to take on ONE new skill a YEAR! 👌👌👌
It's through sheer force of obsessing over it and losing sleep lol but thank you, I'm happy with the week but not happy with the website yet. It'll get there

@ckallas yes
Keep it up, all the best on your journey
Thanks so much! Appreciate it!
While I like the idea of this, I think you running through an entire roadmap of front end engineering in a week is just a bit much. You're missing so much fundamental knowledge, it's not surprising you got so frustrated you gave up. Devs get paid a lot for a reason.
I know I did run through it but the frustration didn't make me give up, I finished the website for the most part. I was more frustrated due to the errors caused by myself during the process and how long I personally took. I'm not done working on front end development, just moving to the next skill while doing this in the background!
I will say the reason for their pay is definitely warranted and I hope it continues with the current state of tech!
bro is just doing the roadmap in a week that i had been trying to complete for a year and a half what the actual fuck is happening to me right now
We're all on our own journey. You're taking the time to get in depth and detailed. The time you've spent still trumps mine!
52 weeks 52 skills is crazy. Im just trying to do 52 projects
Hey 52 projects is still a crazy amount too. I just can't stop wanting to do everything! Got any other skills to challenge me? Good luck on your projects!
@ckallas hmm depends on what's your goal doing 52 skills in 52 weeks.
Honestly the main goal is to just keep on learning new skills to see if there's any that really fit me more than what I already know and if it's enough for me to maybe do a career change or have a new passion for. Also I just have so many things I want to try it's why I started this, to try them all. Any that I like, I'm keeping well past the one week
I am also learning front-end development. Currently I am studying React....grt video
It's a tough process but once it clicks, it clicks. You got this!
Great video. This gave me a clear roadmap and a glimpse of the final product which makes me wanna learn more. Thank you!!
Yes! The roadmaps site really helps give you any direction. Good luck on your journey! You got this!
Great video. Keep the good work up !
Thanks so much! I got a lot of skills to go through so will do!
this feels like a commercial, but like...a commercial for LIFE
That's too high of praise, thank you! :D
FIIIIIRRRSSSTTTT
the only issue is S5II series doesn't have enough lens options, yes it has the Panasonic and Sigma but no cheap lens than makes it very expensive to use,
Definitely is an issue for some people. I'm cool with the current selection but waiting for some good cinema lenses with l mount. Might try using dzo with an ef to l mount just to see how it is.
Samyang joined the alliance
Yes! They just released that 35-150 f/2-2.8 which is tempting
Truth - reason why you switch is beocuse lumix is one of the must talked about camera brands right now. From the S5ii/x to the GH7. Of course there is the S9. You switch to get views and subs. If lumix wasn't been talked about as much as it is today you would still be using Sony. Probably got the Sony as at the time it was the most talked about camera.
I've been with Sony since the A6300 in 2016. Not sure of when it was most talked about but my video journey has been with my Nexus 6P > Nikon D3300 > Sony 6300 & A7C > Lumix S5II now. It's true that it's more talked about now but not everyone is switching. It wouldn't be talked about though if it didn't have good features. I almost went with the FX30 or A7IV. FX30 for being a cinema camera and A7IV for the hybrid capabilities. But I definitely switched due to the Open Gate being beneficial to the work I do with clients and the hybrid functionality. The decision definitely took some research, testing the different cameras through renting, and then coming up with my decision of how I work.
Go ahead brtoher
Will do brother!
good video, sir
Thanks so much! If you need any other shots or have questions, let me know!
Great review. We are thinking about buying this camera. It looks to have an amazing video quality. Thank you for showing some real shots!
Happy to help! If you need and other shots that would help to make the decision, let me know!
They look like shit
How
@giordanobruno7943, curious what you don't like about them. For the price point, they're definitely great start cinema lenses but if you have any other budget cinema lens suggestions, let me know and I'll try them out!
@@ckallas everything. but for 300 dollars what can you expect. Canon Fd lenses are 100x better but obv they are stills lenses. but for a little higher price, Meike lenses are also quite a bit better. anyway enjoy them, didnt mean to spoil your new gear.
@@giordanobruno7943 Definitely no worries. I can definitely see the Meike lenses being better since one lens seems to cost equivalent to the trio of lenses I was able to get. I do use Sony and I found a ~$400 USD E mountMeike that I can test to see what you mean.
nice video
Thanks so much! Appreciate it
i like your hat

gorgeous. this makes me think about how you always liked the color red. :) maybe it means a little something more now.
100%, it brings so much more meaning to my love for the color.
What an excellent piece of work you've done here. There's a high standard for the highest level of affection someone can show in their own unique way. I think this easily clears the bar and raises the standard for how people should think about showing affection. Keep up the good work. P.S. I think it's hilarious that both Andrew and I picked the couch.
Thanks so much. Thinking already of how to top it. Also yes, it was the perfect segue
nice vid
Thanks so much! 3 years later haha
Erick, you did such an amazing job. this felt like a full, developed FILM. you nailed it. you made a clear storyline and it felt linear for the viewer to follow easily. 10/10.
Appreciate the love and recognition! I'm glad it came off clear and a great story. Appreciate you!

Hey, how many pomodoros do you do in a row?

We can definitely relate. Definitely was not prepared for life after the college, the stress, the anxiety is waaay too real. Great video!
Thanks! :D Yeah, it can get stressful but i's all about pushing through it all and finding what makes you happy!
Good job man! Keep it up :)
Thanks Malka! Appreciate it!
Yo CK nice video! Really enjoyed this one...not seen anyone else cover the topic before so that's cool :) by far my FAVOURITE thing to do on a commute is listen to my podcasts...they've completely changed commuting for me actually! Like now, I really look forward to getting the bus or train, or even a plane, long distance because that allows me to get stuck into my podcasts and learn something new and interesting haha. Keep up the good work dude
Thanks man! It's the things that people don't want to talk about because they find commuting to be a hindrance rather then something fun/nice! Podcasts can really change anyone's day! I use it everyday too! :D
