Horowitz Vladimir Bizet Carmen Variations 2 26 78
มุมมอง 13K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Horowitz was 75 years old here but plays things that look physically impossible. His performance, at White House and in front of some of the greatest living classical musicians alive, including guitarist Andres Segovia, is absolutely stunning. Watch this and learn why Vladimir Horowitz was considered one of the greatest classical pianists that ever lived.
Dick Dale Live Satellite Lounge Houston TX 2-26-1994
มุมมอง 1.8K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Incredible performance by Dick Dale in the prime of his career "comeback" in 1994 after his music was featured in the hit film Pulp Fiction and right after the release of his best record in decades, Tribal Thunder. I shot this myself, with Dick's permission (thanks to my friend Teisco Del Ray), at the legendary Satellite Lounge in Houston, Texas. You will not be able to find a better Dick Dale ...

Bradley Owen Here I am Again with Loretta Lynn 1990s

Rare video of Nashville legend Owen Bradley playing the keyboard live accompanying Loretta Lynn. Owen was a legendary producer and musician. He played piano on many classic Patsy Cline records including "Crazy" but it's very hard to find any live footage of him actually performing. Notice how he finds the perfect part to play and his sense of time is incredible.

Anita Carter was a straight fox...❤❤
fantastic... so great for the music history these few mins are available... very enjoyable
If Anita Carter wasn't in love with Hank Williams, she should have gone to Hollywood. Look at her eyes at 5:40!
Is that Grady Martin player guirar on cold cold heart?
June doing her jig was hot but her older sister was fire
Hank Williams Sr. The one and only.❤
Anita Carter looked like she wanted to kiss him real bad
Wow!!!
June Carter right on the mic in "I Saw the Light" is awesome
The Florence Foster Jenkins of the 60s.
This must have been shot on film. Does anyone know if these shows are available in high resolution transfers from the original film? This looks like a terrible transfer. Film would have looked much better in the early 2950s.
Hank is clearly pretty lit up here. If he was this good when he was wasted, imagine how good he'd have been clear-headed!
I sang along and played guitar the whole video. I love this show!

I feel Hank Williams was the greatest songwriter ever. Okay as a singer.
Yes I agree great song writer my Dad John Parsons liked he passed away 2002,was66
😂 Good one 🙉 Putting down one of the most iconic & unique vocalist in western music history , who happens to be six feet under so i guess you win by default 🤠 But in all honesty , I firmly do believe we all have the right to have different tastes , so i kid. I am a musician , so I understand & respect Hanks artistry so very much. 🙏 But I do actually wonder who do you think is a great singer friend ?
@@TraustiLaufdal Hank Williams Sr a awesome singer and song writer 💞 May Hank Williams Sr RIP 💐
Dead at 29, Hank Williams accomplished more in his chosen profession than other singers who lived decades longer. The all time champ!

I’m 80 and we would usually watch The Kate Smith Evening Hour however I don’t recall the episodes featuring the great Hank Williams. My parents bought our first TV around 1951, a Stromberg Carlson console with a 12” screen. The price was about $400 as I recall. Thanks very much for posting these Hank Williams performances!
By today's standards that $400 would be about Hmmmmmm........ quite a bit.
I'll be 79 next month (Nov), we didn't get a TV till the summer of 1953, don't know what it cost. My parents liked the Kate Smith show, but I didn't. Give Red Skelton, Milton Berle, Sid Ceaser, Jack Benny.
私81歳同じ年代ですね。懐かしく聴いています。神は良きものを与えてくれる方です。天国でも聴くことができるでしょう。何で素敵な方素敵な歌声でしょう。
LOL. Things never change do they...
I met steel guitarist, Don Helms, on two different occasions. Wonderful person, as well as a great musician.
Wow awesome!
Hey, there COULDN'T be rock and roll or any of the music that followed WITHOUT The Great Hank Williams.... Hank caused a revolution in "delivering" a song, "pumping" a song AT audiences and in doing so, became the first "Rock Star"...
Hank had a Leash on the Guitar Solos he purposely made Them under play ‼️He did want them to distract from the poetry of his Lyrics ‼️And he was 100%DEAD ON ‼️‼️✌️💗
God was able to bless the America that was. I am so grateful I grew up during these innocent times.
He was one of a kind. Period.
Stars of the Grand Ole Opry were invited to appear on the Kate Smith Evening Hour on NBC 3 times 3 months in a row in 1952 March 26th, April 23rd and May 21st. The only act to perform on all 3 shows was the Carter Sisters and Mother Maybelle also known as the Carter Family. Hank Williams appeared on the March 26 and April 23rd shows. On the March 26th show he performed "Hey Good Lookin'" and on the April 23rd show he performed "Cold Cold Heart" and the duet with beautiful Anita Carter with the amazing voice!! "I Can't Help It If I'm Still In Love With You"
People with real talent no big stage show just pure Country talent Johnny From Alabama

Yup, thank you. Yep, thank you.
Brilliant and funny man.
The only true country, that era is so beautiful.
This is absolutely amazing. Thank you jmikeperkins!
These are very good versions of both these songs. The horn section on Secret Agent Man sounds almost like the John Barry Orchestra, giving it a real James Bond feel.
Hank was Alfalfa growed up and on steroids....
A priceless historical recording.
Nine minutes and fourty six seconds of surpassingly brilliant entertainment by consummate artists . And what about the fabulous versatility of June Carter ? And Hank and his band are faultlessly superb ! The best live performance footage of artistry I've ever seen . Thanks so much for uploading .
