Hi Sir, I did a BSc for 1 year at Wits. Then BEd for 1 year at Wits. I got excluded. I was using the Funza Lushaka bursary. I've been sitting at home this year. I want to apply for Nursing. I don't know what to do😢. Do you think they'll accept me even when I was using the Funza Lushaka bursary?

Applications are not open as yet. If you created a profile then good. Let’s wait after June for applications to open and if you’ve registered already then you’ll just click apply and that’s it.

Last year applications closed very late. Let’s hope by August they’ll still be open like last year. Then you use those to apply. If you use results that don’t qualify you’ll be rejected. There questions to answer during the application as screening tool.

@@HappyThabile-04 yes just apply for their program they should fund you if taken by your facility to school. Remember you’ll need your study leave to be approved.

Universities I doubt, colleges maybe private enquire with Netcare or Mediclinic, government ones. The following subject criteria are required: • Senior Certificate: English HG D or SG C, Biology HG D or SG C, Mathematics HG D or SG C and an M score of 17 • National Senior Certificate: English Level 4, Life Sciences Level 4, Mathematics Level 4 or Maths Literacy Level 5, and an APS of 27 or more (Life Orientation counts half the score) • National Vocational Certificate: 50% in Fundamental Subjects (English First Additional Language, Maths/Maths Literacy, Life Orientation) and 60% in the Vocational Subjects (SA Health Care System, Public Health, The Human Body and Mind and Community Oriented Primary Care) • Current Grade 12 learners must meet the National Senior Certificate requirements in their Grade 11 final results.

The salary scale is the same especially in Government. The difference is that the other one can be placed in a labour ward to deliver babies whilst the other doesn’t have a skill to.

Hi it’s advisable to use your province cause they consider your school also as to where did you matriculate. But it’s possible I have a friend from NW came to GP and used GP address and certification of documents in Gauteng.

For this program no, you need minimum level 4 maths. Try upgrading ei. I started Nursing when I was 23years. 6 years after matric.

Private yes, check Netcare and Mediclinic and also Ukwazi school or Nursing. 👊

College 3 years General Nurse with only Maroon epaulets. University 4 years degree with only 1 green bar ontop of the maroon epaulets which represents Midwifery. I’ll drop another video tomorrow explaining this in detail and what to do next if one chose either.
