The match is written well. At the beginning the U20 has the edge due to the insane experience gap but this gap starts to close as the match goes on due to Blue Lock's ability to adapt. All of those players are big clutch players and are trained to find to solution as soon as they hit a wall. It's why all BL players are surpassing them minus Sae and Shidou

This season really feels so underwhelming. I was completely fine with the first half of season 1. This only really has good art, soundtracks, and voice acting. The main selling point involving the animation is just nonexistent. Its not even the animator's fault either. They might well make an audiobook for the manga.

I am not usually one to harp on animation and I get that the people behind this are going through rough schedule... But goddamn does the animation just kill the whole scene. For a supposed super imposing scene and goal, it feels so slow, floaty and impactless that its ruining any tension and intensity of this scene. Is the WHOLE season like this??? I was gonna binge watch season 2 after it finished but now I might not even bother with the anime. Might as well read the manga and but some ost in the background. It will probably be a better experience than this 😅
