For personal experiences, I can say these things also not forgetting of the newest researches about the emotions that fish may have: I have a tambaqui, also known as pacu fish, wich has different variants and species. Mine is an hybrid between a red belly pacu and a black pacu. I tried to create for the first time a bond (with the fish in general) with him and it all started on april (not sure but it was spring), and after half a year, I can tell that: He can be sad, happy, he can fear, he can get stressed, and he can also love and feel empathy. I study animals not as a job but still as an hobby and I'm pretty sure he loves me for some reasons I will explain now: Animals that aren't able to love, means that they like the presence of one or more specimens of their or different species because they are useful to them, but they do not actually care. Reptiles for example, as an owner of them, (I have 2 leopard geckos, wich is a very common species around reptile keepers), do not love and you can understand that because they approach you only if they need something and do not care about how much time you spend with them. Animals that can love instead, like mammals, let's use as an example dogs, (they have similar reactions to us since we are also mammals and capable of love), they care about how much time you spend with them, for example they get excited after a long time they did not see you, they show you their gratitude, they can get gelous or offended, they would risk their lives for you since they care about you as a person and do not use you as an "object". I experienced all of this with my pacu, by the way his name is Fengi. He gets more or less excited when he sees me depending on how much or when I was with him last time, like dogs, he got gelous of me when one day goldfish got too close with me and him, he got offended (because I was ignoring him because I had to do some cleaning on his pond and I understood that because after some minutes, when I finished and I wanted to pet him, he then didn't want to and looked kinda sad by how he was moving), and also decided to risk (he tought it was risky but it actually wasn't) his life for me. Yes you heard me right, I'll explain: Basically, one day one friend came over my house and I told him to pet Fengi because he liked to be petted. He liked him even tought he was acting a bit shy. After my friend for joking pushed me, the next time he tried to pet Fengi, he tried to hurt my friend, and he's not coragious. Usually he swims away really fast when he meets new fish that look aggressive, even small ones, and my friend is much bigger than him, and the fact that he did not swim away but that wanted to hurt him makes me think he tought he was risking his life but did not care and wanted to protect me at all costs. I love the way bots talk - NOT! It's anazing to me that someone would spend a lot of time developing and editing a nice video, and then RUIN it with the unnatural, out of pace 'voice" of a bot. SMH. Please add a REAL person's voice if you ever want to INCREASE your viewershio. For me, I will not be watching any more videos with bot sound. Maybe, once video creators' vierwership starts going down - or staying flat - they will realize hiw truly TERRIBLE the bot sounds and how BORING it is - and only then will most people make a change. On the other hand is the creator that uses equal or better video - but with a REAL person's voice - and their viewing stats blows aqay the bot. Plus, a job is being created.
