May the Hope of My Heart Be Woven Into the Waters

Custom 3D printed break beams, laser sensors, and speakers; fountain composed of
copper pipes, steel and crushed oyster shell concrete
Co-commissioned by the Blaffer Art Museum, Cynthia Woods Mitchell Center for the Arts, and KADIST
This new site-specific work by Indira Allegra (b. 1980, Detroit, MI, USA. Lives and works
in New York, NY, USA) is created in collaboration with Houston-based musicians,
soprano Alexandra Smither, cellist Austin Lewellen, artist and engineer Corey De’Juan
Sherrard Jr., with fabrication by MoonPapas.
The artists transform the museum stairwell
and turn various architectural features into instruments: the open space as a site of
ascension as the stairs are transformed into a theremin. Through activating the work
and scheduled live sound sessions, Allegra and collaborators weave the senses of touch
and hearing, into collective intimacy, memory, and grief.

I noticed the bulky shoes more than the performance. If the artist sees this, I hope they realize that footwear or removing them, can make or break something like this.
This fucking guy, who is a Cuban Intelligence agent, has been plagiarizing my work and setting booby traps for me to approach him (them).
Dutch: Blaffer: either a rude person yelling at everyone, or a barky yappy dog. XD (Blaf = Bark. Blaffen = Barking, Blaffer = someone or something who barks. ) I'm curious what else it reminds other people from other place of? ❤

Cool project guys!
a genius and pioneer
I loved her work at Venice Biennale last year. First for me they reminded me of Dalex from Dr. Who on the BBC. But of course they are not scifi demons but superb art work with original creativity. I also liked the moving part. Moving parts of oil drill bits in this video are very interesting and at the same time amusing. Thank you Monira Al Aqdiri!
Yes, she really is amazing, her work is so dreamy and enigmatic, otherworldly, but it still manages to communicate a much deeper message on how we are failing as stewards of the planet Earth.
