    Ping Pong ball vs Baseball vs Bowling ball examples are not relevant to archery as the max mass/weight arrow difference is 2x. Yes, if you will be tree stand whitetail hunting no more than 30 yards, shoot a heavy arrow and mechanical broadhead. But for bigger/tougher animals and longer distance consider the below. Ethical bow-hunting requires: 1) Accuracy (depends on your skill level and ranging accuracy/game movement - when your arrow starts dropping 1”/yd you have reached that limit, usually around 50 yards for 400-500gr arrows with avg. draw). You should be able to shoot consistently 9/10 on vitals size target at twice your max hunting distance (controlled practice, known distance vs uncertain hunting situation). 2) Pass through / animal recovery (depends more on proper shot placement and broadhead type - fixed head penetrates 25-30% deeper, much less so on arrow weight/momentum 5-10% difference). You can take broadside shots up to YOUR max hunting range, quartering-away up to 80% of your max range, quartering-to and frontal to be avoided or taken up to 50% of your max range, and NO rear shots!

    A lot of people don’t think about this, but you don’t need a stand or saddle. Just shimmy up the tree and as long as you have a couple of sturdy branches at 20+ feet you’re good. I’m 61 and I still climb trees without stands, steps, or ropes. I shoot a long bow which easy to hook through my arm while climbing. I just lean on the tree when drawing back. Killed many a buck without a stand, saddle, or steps. Sure beats having to haul that mess around not to mention cheaper.

    "Nothing to be afraid of?""" Let's get real- this is fatal to deer and now threatens to destroy entire herds. While studies have not yet demonstrated a direct link to humans, they are as yet inconclusive. Both the CDC and World Health Organizations are recommending against consuming meat from infected animals- no matter how you slice it. Hunters need to pay attention to recommendations . Up to 60 percent of bucks are infected in central Pennsylvania. Don't transport carcasses and dump them from infected to uninfected areas. Don't use attractants. Don't bait. Even if you reject all of the warnings- would you eat an animal that looks like the images of deer at the last stage of illness- and the prion exists for months or years before that stage. "Nothing to be afraid of" Good God man get real

    For most people theres just too much risk of losing injured deer whole hunting in the rain. Deer move before and after the rain, by in large. Ive taken buck after heavy rains on several occassions. I hunted 1 week of straight rain. It was unbelievable how much rain we got that week. It was the last week of bow here in PA. I did not see one deer in a heavily deer populated area...and i did all day sits. I never hunted in the rain again. Especially knowing that I was successful on several occassions after the rain stopped. Not to mention the difficulty of tracking lesser shots, losing nice buck. It just isnt worth it to me. But hey...i day on the rain wokds might be better than just sitting around too! Just really be careful to be picky with your shot placements. Lost animals make a rainy day evrn that much drearier! The Gospel of John...as, Jesus, leads you, Reader.❤❤❤

    Bro that’s telling people how to shoot a bow. That’s not how to fix target panic. Also target panic is stuff like punching the release or feeling like you can’t lift the pin onto the target and settling below the center. Also don’t try to fix it by getting a different release. Do special practice to fix it. If you really wanna know how to fix target panic watch Chris Bee’s video on how to fix target panic.

    Idc what anyone says, this is all cause by the government. Why is it only hit the counties and towns that have high numbers of deer and also have high numbers of deer vehicle accidents? We had no issues all year in my area and then we started hearing helicopters at night for 2 weeks and then all of a sudden deer where dying. I doubt a small midge is doing it, more like a chemical that’s landing in the water they are drinking!

    Deer 100% do not smell better during rain. This is a garbage statement

    • @afflictorbroadheads6259
      @afflictorbroadheads6259 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Really they do. In fact almost all animals do. If you want to look into the science of it, the term to look up is Petrichor. This is why beagles track rabbits much better in a damp snow or wet conditions. So it is not a garbage statement at all.

    • @2314jones
      @2314jones 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @afflictorbroadheads6259 I'm well aware of the claims but it's still garbage. I've been raising and training k9,s for 35 years and I know a dogs reaction as well as their limitations by experience...not a junk article. I have a cadaver dog that hates the rain and he will tell you it affects him quickly. There is a VERY short window where the scent increases and then it falls off.

    Great info thank you It stays in plant? so predator eats an infected critter then craps the plants takes it up in compost and the next deer eats the plant? Ok this just pops up in the 60's maybe like lime disease? So nothing is known of how it came about. we now know about lime disease Hmm fishy just fishy.
