For those interested, this camera can shoot the modern films: Vision 3 50D and Ektachrome 100D. Any other higher rated films may be underexposed, although you could try using the backlight compensation feature to add 2 extra stops of light and get an exposure closer to 500ASA.
Footage shown in this video was from a Vision 3 50D cartridge.

Ode To The Messenger Man (Short Film)
มุมมอง 208ปีที่แล้ว
Ode To The Messenger Man is a reimagining of the infamous long lost interview with musician Billy Shears in 1969, in which he walked out on the interviewer. The interview, of which only audio, stills and fragments exist, captures Shears at the end of the Sixties, as the flower power movement and psychedelia transitioned to heavier music. Starring Dieter Horvat as Billy Shears. Written & Directe...

Polaroid 2000 Land Camera
มุมมอง 7K2 ปีที่แล้ว
My delve into Polaroid film has been brief and half successful. The first colour pack I shot turned out fine, albeit slightly overexposed, however the black and white pack I opened in this video immediately jammed in the camera and turned out all smudged and very overexposed. Not sure if this was the fault of the camera or just a dodgy pack of film as the camera seemed to be functioning as inte...

Pentax 6x7 Medium Format SLR
มุมมอง 1483 ปีที่แล้ว
A truly monstrous camera, the Pentax 6x7 is perhaps the ultimate SLR camera producing negatives of just under 60x70 mm. The lens mounted on the camera in the video is a Super Takumar 75mm f4.5, which is roughly equivalent to a 35mm f2 lens on full frame. The lens itself is the size of most 35mm SLRs! Film stocks used for the sample images include Lomography Potsdam Kino 100 and a very expired F...

Cycle Wizard A Large Format View Camera
Thank you for this video. Which film did you use?
Thanks! Pretty sure I was shooting Tmax 100
Hey man I was wondering if the camera shoots with sound I'm assuming not
Excellent!
I decided to refurbish my Spotmatic SP2 it needed new light seals and a mirror bumper. I hot the supplies from Walmart for few dollars . I have a number of M42 lenses
Great little camera.
Has that been stabilized in post? If not that footage is bloody phenomenal stable, way better than a Bolex.
Is the shutter made of fabric sheets?
Over the past 10 years I have acquired ten Cine Kodak Special and Special II cameras. I’ve got eight of them working again. These are absolute beasts! Quality clockwork devices for sure.
How can you manually do the aperture
The aperture selection wheel at 1:27 operates the needle in the viewfinder allowing you to select desired aperture in manual mode. The wheel goes between iris fully open (0) to closed (C). Make sure you leave this wheel at the fully open position if using auto exposure mode. Hope this helps!
Not useful at all. How do you use the metering?
Setting the aperture ring to 'A' puts the camera in shutter priority mode.
So helpful thank you! What film did you use here?
Filter size?
48mm
¿La Pentax Program A es la misma que la Pentax Super A?
How can you select the aperture
Did you find out?
Battery today? 1,4v o 1,5v??
Wowzer, this video format is SOOO attractive! I could watch dozens of these!
этот фотоаппарат можно увидеть в фильме ВОДИТЕЛЬ АВТОБУСА
How do you change the battery?
The batteries are actually located in the pack of film itself, means you never have to worry about replacing them
@@pantaxstudios thanks very much, I did wonder why no one says anything about the battery anywhere I look!
What battery does it use?
Px400
Thank you so much for this. It was beautifully done hope you do this w many other cameras.
Great video! I have one of these cameras, I was wondering about the film holders. In the the video you load a holder that has a raised ridge, but when I looked at my camera it has a ridge where the film holder fits. Is this just the design of the camera or is it meant for film holders with a slot rather than a ridge? Maybe there's variation between each camera? I want to get the correct film holders for it.
One question... how did you get COLORED photo results after using Black&White film?
Chapeau bas!
Did you mean x4 AA batteries?
Which battery will i need for this camera?
I saw one brand new full set box for 48 USD in HK thrift store. So I came here to see what the f* is that. I thought it looks cool for interior decoration 😂
It would be nice if OM would build a full frame camera.
Such lovely cameras to use, everything falls just to hand and they are aesthetically beautiful. I still have mine that I bought new around 1972.
Thank you for sharing!
Nice presentation about Pentax Spotmatic, owning a Spotmatic SPII myself. Fine camera and one of the classics. Unless I am mistaken your Pentax has a Soligor lens, not an original Takumar lens. Soligor, Vivitar and Sigma among several less expensive lens makers with the M42 mount. Try to find a Takumar 50mm f1.4 lens and you will see why it is so respected. Have fun, keep posting more shots from your Pentax Spotmatic 😊
Amazing!
A pattern I noticed between standard ISO and Weston-you can dial in your ISO and then move one number down to “translate” to Weston. So for 400 ISO, I dial in 400, then go one down to 320. For 200 ISO I dial in 200, then go one down to 160 🙂 In other words, the Weston setting is the same as the PREVIOUS ISO setting, if you look at the chart ! Thanks so much for the video, I watched several without understanding how to use it, and with yours I got it right away!
I just got 2 on Ebay one chrome and one black with SMC 55 f1.8 for £24. I have many other Spotmatics in my collection.
After seeing a copy of this camera up for sale I came here to find out if it is a stereo one. Unfortunately not, but still an interesting piece of gear.
Not sure what you might mean by “stereo one”, none are “stereo” as far as images go. They have two mounts for lenses, but only one lens is selected/used at a time.
Rad. Thank you so much.
Just found one of these in the attic. Within, what I assume is the original case. Does anyone still have use for these cameras?
Fantastic! What lenses has yours come with?
@paddy, “Kodak Anastigmat F-2.7 102mm” and several “Gold heritage optical glass filters,”
What I Meant to say high, and low feature on the camera 😂
Hi @panocio, the high and low switch controls the audio input gain
I just realized that after I watched the video one more time. Y apologies for not paying attention 🤣
Great video. I am planing on shooting with the same camera this weekend. Can you please explain the fast Vs slow button? 🙏
Great video!
Cat got ur tongue
Hi. I saw this video today, two years after you published it. Just want to say that it was very, very well done. Simple but with all the information there's a need, beautiful imagem recording, nice natural envirement sound. A pleasure to watch.
Beautiful!
By the way, a very excellent way of reviewing the camera, a simple, informative, and beautifully shot, keep up the good work dude
Which one do you guys think is better, 814XL or 514XL?
I am just learning about my Contaflex, I just find focus with small split screen very difficult, any tricks?
Very cool, gonna keep an eye on ebay for one of these.
No se le cambia el lente?
Amazing video. Just what I needed. Thanks!
This was a really nice video. I'm new to film photography and what I really needed, was just to understand what was what on my camera. I'm really glad, that you made it easy to see! It was also wonderful that you included, how to change the settings. Thank you!
Do you have any more videos on the keystone
