Reactional Music

Reactional’s composable generative music technology enables interactive music in your game in just moments, music personalisation and music as an in-game purchase.
Music can be modulated and procedurally created note by note in real time. Live music generation means every musical parameter can be controlled. Generating music based on game data in this way has not been possible before.
A rule-based music engine, Reactional allows any music to be brought into a game and the entire game’s visuals and sound will react live to that music. Composed music is generated live note by note in real time.
Reactional’s music delivery platform also enables music personalisation and music as an in-game purchase for the gamer. Any music will dynamically sync with the game as the soundtrack. In key and in time.

That coffee looks terribly weak, but the reactional music processes look much better. Going to have to give this a try.
Does it convert all DAW projects ie ableton, cubase etc or only reaper?
The technology is impressive! I’m not sure how this will make people “respect the music more” though. And saying that currently “the music is often mismatched” in games is a little insulting to game composers and music designers (your future potential users).
does is use metadata?
yes, the commercial music tracks are analysed for certain musical elements, and that metadata is used to inform our interactive music system.
This reminds me of a plugin / xtra for Macromedia Director that Thomas Dolby (yes "She Blinded Me with Science" fame) called Beatnik that allowed you to control the music; it was sort of like having an akai sampler packed with midi and you could control the BPM and mixing, fx from outside -- so that the host app could change things -- shifting keys etc. I used to use it a lot in the 90s when I did the weekly cybercomic for Marvel. This is very interesting to me.
Interesting as well that you can create motifs and the motifs shift with the host song - really curious how say the library items data is - it must know the keys to shift the motif keys around.
