RIP Bob Uecker. As a fellow Brewers fan- yes, we were so damn lucky to have a guy in the booth who could inject wit, humor, and history, even into an 11-2 loss. Interesting that you used Brewers. I do the same with Pirates, except that doesn't work for ROY. For CF I used Wagner, Clemente, Kiner. For 2000 hits P. Waner, Mazeroski, Stargell. For ROY I used Mays, F Robinson, Cepeda. I scored a 4.

I used 7/9 Giants on this one. I could've done all 9 Giants by using some more Hall of Famers, but went primarily for rarity instead. Got a 2: Al Dark (0.2), George Van Haltren (0.04), Asa Brainard (0.003) Orlando Cepeda (0.4), Jim O'Rourke (0.01), Charlie Gettig (0.008) Roy Sievers (0.8). Jeff Kent (0.3), Bobby Bonds (0.7) I likely could've done better than Bonds, but wanted to finish in time to be first to use my two lowest. I was, though Gettig's been used since. Brainard is the reason elite pitchers are called "aces" to this day, 160 years later. Dark won ROY with the Boston Braves, but only briefly played in Milwaukee at the very end of his career. So it may be a stretch to use him for a Milwaukee/Brewers theme, but it could be an option.

Jon Bois of SB Nation / Secret Base made a video essay about how Korean pitcher Dae-Sung Koo played just one season of MLB with the Mets and had just 2 at-bats. He never had to hit in Korea but in his second AB he ripped a double off Randy Johnson and later scampered home after the defense fell asleep on a sac bunt that took him to third base.
