fighting games are fun because of combos. And SF2 started it. Then juggle combos existed in VF but it was only in Tekken 3 and Tag1 in which juggle combos became obvious and fun. VF then introduced a bound system which was implemented in Tekken 6. Now looking into VF6 I'm quite interested how they will innovate fighting games to make it more fun. Juggle combos are fun but if VF6 will focus on realism then would there still be juggle combos? Because in real life you can't juggle anyone. But I am quite excited how they will make it fun.

This series...has never once made been about pure martial arts. The very first game had you playing as a bear, the ewgf has you generate electricity. This series has always been over the top even back then. You could play as a boxing velociraptor in the second game. It's always been dumb, I don't know how this idea of Tekken being this pure martial arts fighter ever came about but I can say right now it was never like that.

Man, I cannot agree with you here. People will not move to VF6. Reason is that so-called "Tekken veterans" hate active gameplay. They want to have a lot of "movement" (a.k.a. "if you don't know what to do - spam kbd") and "poking" (a.k.a. "I want to throw only safe moves, take minimal risks and win"). That's the main problem of "veteran" players with T8 now. And thing is - VF is even more like that! They may not have meters and heat - but distance between character is rather small, backdash is shorter than front dash (at least to my knoweledge), arenas are smaller and even rounds are shorter. It's pure "get in your face" experience. And tekken "veterans" (sorry, I cannot not use quotes here, because it was already obvious in T7 what those "veterans" were actually worth) hate this type of gameplay. As for players who joined only on T8 - they may actually stay there, not only due to gameplay, but also due to visual content and etc.

Devil/devil kazuya since the first or second game using laser beams? Also geneticaly modified kangoroo and velociraptor that fight box? What I want to say is that a few sowrdsmen or other guest characters that use projectiles and stuff, even if out of place, won't completely destroy tekken's indentity, since I feel like the identity of tekken lies on it's gameplay depth

I had rough start with T8 with the polaris crash that made me ugrade my rig and still unable to play for 3 month. After the fix, I was loving the game in spite of all the issue until I was able to play VF5 revo for the first time and that when I realized that was the game I was looking for. It felt everything right from the begging. Very fundamental and plain and simple 3D fighting game. T8 is too flashy for my taste and if I go that route I would rather play Dragon Ball or Jump Force . If VF6 will demand another upgrade to my PC, unfortunately I don't think my budget will allow me to get it on day one, and would have to wait until the game and hardware are affordable to my budget. My heart and wallet is too broken from DOA 6 & Tekken 8 that I am afraid that VF6 would eventually disappoint me if more investment goes on aesthetic rather than mechanic and game play.

It just depends on if you want to fight or watch explosions and breaks in the action with rage arts.
