    On Angelus: have you used the Preparer and Deglazer? What is that for? Is it necessary before applying paint, like a primer? Can't get the retailer to tell me. Want to undertake some leather repair / restoration on some car leather seats. Not a pro, here. Any comment appreciated, thanks.

    Since I started using the henna bottles They are my go to especially for backgrounds. As far as the occasional bubble I first tried popping them with a needle. They would like to dodge the needle. Rather than invest in a torch I just break a round toothpick in half and use the broke end on bubbles. Works for me like a champ. This on tooled patterns. Before I fill the bottle I gently round off the tips on a buffing wheel. Praise to to you for the bottle and much success to you both.

    Does a mask with an amp fit in the bag? Still a max of 8 characters?

      Hey Trent, yes, a mask with amp will fit, and a max of 8. The tag that is affixed on the front of the bag for the "text" is a fixed length.

    Can you use a brass burr with copper rivets? I'm trying to duplicate a WW2 GI leather item that appears to have brass burrs w/ copper rivets.

    • @axeandawlleatherworks1454
      @axeandawlleatherworks1454 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      John, yes. We often times have some fun with mixing rivets/burrs whenever doing one off projects, which generally results in other customers seeing how unique it patinas. Best of luck!

    Have watched this video before. I just received the Angelus 12 pack of neon and remembered you had said something about it. Glad I went back and rewatched about the white primer. Thank you for mentioning it. I would love to see you do an in depth on painting. Perhaps successful tests and fails. Pitfalls to avoid etc. After tooling vegtan I oil it then stain. I finished a butterfly and oiled it lightly. No stain. Would like to try painting it with the neons.

    Do you find that some colors' viscosity are far more thin than others? I find that pink, yellow, lilac, and white are so thin that I can't keep them from making an absolute mess with the Henna bottles, but red, green, black, and orange are far thicker and easier to control...

    Imagine this being the very first video from this channel that you've ever seen and you were looking for ideas as to where to source free leather like discarded boots, jackets, coutches, etc... You would have no clue what very specific type of leather work this channel is for... it can't be the leather straps that are part of something but never the whole of it can it? Really though? Can it be? Cuz that's what it sounds like... but that doesn't make sense... ?? Hmmm.
