As you all might know already, I have zero obby genetics. Whatever skillsets take the slightest extent of hand eye coordination or timing to the most elite of levels, I struggle and cannot master it. A few days ago my goal was to try and fix this slightly by attempting to improve my camera control on this obby, which I expected after some practice to take 5-8 hours.
If I could go back in time and rip my fucking face off before I committed to this, I would.
What happened after can only be described as the single unluckiest experience in my life, maybe in obby history. Let's put it into perspective.
A victor of this obby took around 9 hours and fluked it from the 6th jump. Seems like I shouldn't have too many fails past 6th then, right?
Over 650. That's your number. Combine that with 24 fails on the 8th jump, 14 on the 9th jump, and 5 on the last one, and you have what could only be described as insanity. There are so many other realities where I take that aforementioned 5-8 hours, but the amount of shit that happened led it to 19. Yes, nineteen. I cannot even begin to stress the amount of times I would fail the third to fifth jump, go over to it to practice it, and make it to the fucking end immediately from that run. In no world should those immediate capable runs translated to this bad of a fail count.
Overall I've had my fair share of bad luck, it's kind of my mantra at this point, but this exceeds everything I thought possible in how bad it could possibly get. It should go without saying that maybe I found some improvement in camera control after, but it wasn't fucking worth it. None of it was. Fuck this game.
