Cat’n Around Bimini 2024 in the Worldcat 325CC
This is our second year participating in the Cat’n Around Bimini Worldcat event, and what another wonderful time it was!!! We did get a lot more rain than our previous year, but we found ways to still make the most of it and had a lot of fun!!! Please enjoy the video!!! Fishing in the NE Florida Wahoo Shootout for 2024 aboard the Worldcat 325CC. Didn’t win the event but had lots of fun doing it! The lobstering was a bit scarce this season as the weather didn’t cooperate and made water viz very low for the divers. Got to take in some Gulf fishing on Jerry Holston’s World Cat 296DC for the second year in a row! Almost to the day, I was able to do this a year prior with Jerry and we did really well on the American Red Snappers! For 2023, the bag was no different! Except, we scored some really nice Blackfin tunas and some Groupers! Jerry has turned this non-traditional fishing platform into a fishing machine!

Its a tad over 13’ without the radar… i remove the radar when trailering just to prevent any damage, some places in my area havw low hanging trees

Hard to compare but I think it was a bit better… my TV had 300 Suzukis, this boat had 400 Mercs

Insetta makes a really nice boat. They had one on display a couple weeks ago at the Sarasota Boat Show. But, it's just another DISGUSTINGLY OVERPRICED boat.

I can instantly tell how experienced a boater is by how much of their beer belly is showing while standing behind a console.
I just saw Deer meat for Dinner cruising at 43 miles doing 1.25 mpg with twin 300 Suzuki on a 35ft Insetta fully loaded with fuel and six people on board with all their luggage on a trip to the Bahamas. That proofs that the worldcat is an old hull and that mercury sucks on power and fuel. Sorry

interesting. bought one here a few weeks ago here in Western Australia. ran it at 4 knots in flat glassy condition's and the first wing was gone in about 15min's, have bought 2 more just to try again but after watching this i'm not so confident. I'm not sure why they sell the wing's and screw's as spare part's when it's the actual lure's main body point that is failing. luckily i have kept my receipt and original packaging and i may be able to get a refund if they do fail again.

@@teamspinningballyhoo904 update, used 24h araldite and reinforced around the joint/pivot point of the wing's, they do not fold back anymore but have lasted one trolling session without snapping the wing's off...no fish strikes though. i have 3 of them now. the first one i took back and exchanged for a new one, the new one was had cracked around the pivot screw from the box. i bought 2 new ones at the same time both of them had loose screws and no cracking evident however i chose not to take the chance and epoxied them from new. Just gotta catch something now.
The lure is rubbish, the clips that hold the wings on are plastic and break so easily. Their poor design and poor quality. There not fit for purpose.
Could you have just split the one vhf into 2 radio head units instead? Or do two antennas give a better signal? Personal preference? SHE'S BEAUTIFUL & GL!
I dont understand what youre asking? Theres 2 antennaes because i had 2 vhf radios installed. One head unit is enough for any boat, car, truck… assuming you are talking about a music head unit

@@cardio10101 yessir! I’ll usually keep one on USCG, and then use the other to talk to buddies or hear the charter chatter
I bought 2 from Melton, same happened to both...I epoxied the wings on with clear epoxy and they are solid now. I mostly use them as a teaser/bird in front of a lure or rigged ballyhoo now. When the Mahi get hot up here in NC in May I'll re-rig as a lure and see what happens. Its a weak design, its gonna fail when it gets nailed by a fish anyway without the gobs of epoxy😂😂😂. Tight lines bro😎
