Who is Shina Peters? He is nothing to KSA and Chief Commander Ebenezer Obey. The two legends of Juju Music are KSA and Obey Commander. Even Dele Abiodun did more for Juju music relative to Shina Peters.
I will say everybody had their contributions to JUJU MUSIC. just like knowledge. all have their space and world. I was born in the 60 and growing up listening to these wonderful musicians with my father engine (Values glowing in it) and record player - turntable- was wonderful.
Infact,I don't know how further to describe the king of world beat...his music has been the joy of my heart till date include the paramount king of music"King Asaaju Abass Akande OBESERE who also differentiate him self with funny lyrics.
This was time KSA was changing the face of juju music. So it wasn't Shina Peters that did it. It was Sunny that did it He tried it first with Gbeyo Gbeyo in 1981. And again here. KSA is one of the greatest guitarists maestro of his generation.
KSA literally changed Juju from a regular Lagos urban music genre to international sounds, coined as World Beat. He first introduced tenor guitar since Ekilo fomo Ode way back 1974, then 1981 and on and on. Sina Peters only dropped guitar and brought in electric Jaz calling it afrojuju. Even the omele that distinct his sound was introduced into Juju by Mic Ade around 1987.
Those in that school not thought don't know what is called music. Because Sina Peters use fast tempo in his music, they now say he revolutionise juju music. Anyway KSA still remain the KING, no be joke o.
