2024. When i die and go back to safe room. My lvl went back to normal. What a waste of my time bruh

Depending on what floor you're on this could take hours but it's still very fast. I swear after killing the repear it took me over an hour to get myself killed after the huge jump of defense and hp even after putting on my worst armor and not fighting back I even tried my best to avoid killing the enemies without having to constantly block and it sitll took so long. From experience I recommend you use physical attack persona moves to quickly drain your hp because if you're on like floor 5 enemies will only do like 2-7 damage and you have over 300 HP on all your team members if you leveled them all up during reaper fight. Also if you have five or more characters unlocked you should take everyone off the team so that the enemies only have Joker to target

So get to area two safe room save go down lower difficulty to safety fight reaper re fight him again die select no on retry battle

Still works in 2024 but becareful if you're doing this at a low level and trying to level up a persona for a skill. If you're low level (under 50) the reaper fight is gonna take forever and when you go back to your previous save after dying, your personas level wont save but Jokers and everyone else's will.

Okay, so I see that you can't continue after dying. Because of this, it's not guarantee that you can beat The Reaper in early game and have EXP.

Can anyone confirm this still works on the ps5 version

I already battled the velvet twins on Merciless, beaten them on my second try and the exp from that took me from level 17 to level 42 while beating the Reaper only took me to level 53 and then 60 after going down to safe difficulty. Maybe if I did this first and then fought the twins, it would have been more effective. Oops

Still works as of 7 May 2023! Jumped from lv 44 to 99, thanks a lot for making this video. This is my 4th gameplay, in the first three I attempted to get to lv 99 through the “normal” mementos exploration, but it took too long and get boring if you keep going through all dungeons over and over.

Be sure to get ambushed. That way the Reaper only gets one turn instead of two. That's the difference between life and death. The reaper has a respawn timer of 1 hour per dungeon area, not level area.

Does this work on persona 5 vanilla?

Does it work in vanilla? I tried and didnt work, just set me back to my original level on hard. I missed the flu season thing too

Still works, BTW has anyone after farming and finished their NG+, do we have to do this method every time in another NG+?, cause I plan to gain more SP and HP from Temple and Gym if so. UPDATE: Whatever you do, Please Save at one point when you die and kept the EXP, because if you at one point kill the reaper like the video but accidentally when back to the safe room it’ll be stuck on safe mode, please avoid my mistakes by going only downwards by one level then get another reaper to kill you and to die fast get any weak low level persona as strong ones like Izanagi no Okami with builds can prevent instant death, hope it helps.
