LT did a really nice job of updating these really nice buses in 1966, to this style. Would love to see photos of these in Blackheath on 701/702, never seen any. Yet, I saw them as a child pass Lambeth North, late 60's on this Green Line route, where my nan lived then. I lived in Camden Town the Green Line there was 718 on RMC.

If you ever get the chance to fly on one of these, don't hesitate. They are amazing. If you get the chance to experience a eater landing even better. My uncle was a flight engineer on Catalina's during WW2 in the Pacific. He told me it's like sliding down a scree slow on a sheet of corrugated iron. Man, was he right. The landing is smooth but very noisy. The takeoff is even more thrilling as the spray is thrown up before she finally gets up on the step.
