Inspired by the 40m Compact 4-Square Antenna of EA5AVL, I built a light weight portable array for DXpeditions. The middle support mast is the 12m long one from Spiderbeam, set to about 9m or so. The RI0B DXpedition for IOTA added some pile-up to the bands! This recording from JO21 is made with two antennas. Listen to this with stereo headset and enjoy one minute of the pile-up heard in JO21. Receiver is Elecraft K3 with a MA5B beam and a small AL-1 receiving loop as second antenna. The K3 is fitted with sub-RX and upgraded synthesizers.
