Dr. Elizabeth Webb Professional Learning Series, September 30, 2024
(Adult Education/Community Engagement)
Teaching adult English learners is a satisfying career path, yet one of the challenges is lack of access to professional development and training resources. Join Dr. Debra Suarez, a former federal senior leader and now current president of TESOL International Association, as she guides us through freely-available, evidence-based, federally-funded
professional development platforms, including from the U.S. Department of Education and the U.S. Office of Citizenship and Immigration Services. Emphasis will be placed on demonstrating and discussing resources that are designed to meet the needs of educators who work specifically with adult populations in diverse programmatic contexts.
