Astrea: Six Sided Oracles - Sothis 10/6 Gameplay - Affliction Build Crushes All!
This time with voice recording! Apologies for the game volume being a bit too loud compared to my own voice at times; I hadn't realized the audio settings were on max when I started recording! It'll be improved next time and hopefully isn't too problematic.
This 10/6 Sothis run is all about building toward his Affliction package and setting enemies on fire before kindly purifying them in massive explosions. This run had a bit of a slow start but picked up steam in the second area and only kept getting stronger. I hope you enjoy!

Astrea: Six Sided Oracles - Austra 10/6 Gameplay (No Commentary)
มุมมอง 435ปีที่แล้ว
A playthrough of Astrea: Six Sided Oracles with one of my favorite characters - Austra! This is a run on the highest* difficulty in the game, 10/6. No commentary this time, so enjoy the occasional cursor wiggles that try to showcase my thoughts or emotions. My kingdom for a Thundering Riposte! A fairly mediocre selection of dice and blessings, but focusing on dodges and Austra's natural strengt...
This was such a great video to watch! I learned a lot as a new player. I hope you'll make more in the future. I've done a few affliction builds before with Sothis myself, it's my favorite build. Just blasting away with Soul Stigma is so much fun!
is it possible to do an affliction build without the ethereal plume blessing? it seems like trying to stack on affliction on enemies will just make it so they trigger overcorruption really easily, and it ends up killing you that way.
You definitely can, though Ethereal Plume is a big help! If you don't have the plume, you ideally have your affliction deck either throw lots of affliction out quickly to purify enemies in 1-2 turns (not as hard as that might seem with the right dice; Affliction decks have massive burst potential), or you use dice with Incorruptible sides forged or naturally on them to make the enemies or yourself immune for the 1-2 dangerous turns. You generally have a couple turns at the start to slowly build yourself up with small bits of Affliction that won't trigger overcorruption before unleashing everything and nuking the enemies. I've found that with a proper Affliction setup, only Astrea herself is a threat without the plume due to her huge health pool and powerful overcorruption. She might chip a heart or two off if you don't have ways to provide incorruptible, but that should still leave you enough for a win. In this run I didn't have the plume until the end of the third area, and in my fight with Astrea in this video, the plume was nice but not necessary; The fight was over before her third turn and she didn't have enough Affliction stacks to overcorrupt on turn one, so she would have only overcorrupted on turn two and taken a heart there, leaving me alive with two left.
Just got this off the steam sale. I'm loving the game and this video is the best ive seen! Such an efficient build and WOW the damage. I love your commentary too! So insightful
Thank you very much! Sothis with Affliction does have some crazy damage potential, and with some dice I missed during the run (shown off at the end), it can get even higher! It's one of my favorite builds/characters in Astrea for sure.
GG! had some difficulties hearing from your mic, not a big deal tho.
I really enjoyed this. If you do more high difficulty runs, I'd watch em. Not too many competent gameplay vods out there.
Thank you! I'm definitely thinking of playing and recording some more Astrea 10/6 runs over the coming weeks!
