Use knee pads, wear gloves and other protective equipment. And always remember that the faster you ride, the easier certain obstacles become. Never ride alone!

@@sparrowlegs1 I wish my budget would have allowed that, maybe one day! I've gone for another hardtail, but it's definitely an upgrade from the Carrera and it should make trail riding much more fun! 🚴♀️
Amazing doing that ride on a Carrera ,I have a Carrera I do my training rides on and they are heavy , you must have amazing legs and heart to get up those hills well done , very enjoyable watch 👍

Good music choice at the start to get viewers psyched up for the bike ride! It did seem to cut off quite suddenly though. I would have probably had it gradually fading out as the bike ride started. Other than that, another great bike ride video. I particularly like that the "action shots" when you ride past the camera are back!!
@@TheBigDaddyDReviews1 Thanks Mabbers. Hardest part finding music that fits well. I did try it with a fade out but I quite like the pop but notes for the future. Those shots are always fun to film, a lot of running back for the camera 😂

Ouch, at least you recognised that a fall was coming and did something to compromise for that quickly. Have you thought of doing a compilation of falls and mistakes? I usually make Blooper videos from the content that Luke and I film together.

Lots of different routes and all of them quite different. I like how you separated them with a chapter and an intro. That’s definitely something to continue doing on future videos, especially longer ones like this. I'd recommend having some chilled out music playing just in the background as well to help out with the vibes. What do you use for editing your videos, Sophie?
@@TheBigDaddyDReviews1 Thanks Mabbers. Pleased to hear you like the little intro to the trails to separate them. I'll keep that in mind when out at places with multiple trails. I've seen people complain about music over riding as people like the natural sounds of the environment and bike itself. I use Adobe Premiere Pro at the moment 🚴♀️

@@simonssillystunts I'm West Yorkshire myself, stayed at a lovely Airbnb for the evening before heading over. Definitely perfect for beginners and the staff are super friendly too. It's not cheap with all the costs factored in but I had the best time, well worth it and glad I went 🙂
I love it at Dalby but its one heck of a slog from the carpark. It seems to be uphill for ever lol. I'll be back there in a couple of weeks. Great video. For some reason I've only just found your channel but I instantly subscribed 👍

I'm sure someone mentioned to me about parking at the other car park and coming down the visitor centre along a red and hooking into the trails that way. Not 100% sure on the exact route though but might be worth a look into. Dalby wasn't one of my favourites, but I'm glad I went and I did have a good time! @@P.M.88 Thank you for watching and it's what drew me to spending the money to ride here. I'm not a hardcore rider and love a good flowy blue. Bike Park Wales caters for all abilities and has room as you progress too from what I've seen.
in my country i dont have any bike trails lol all we gotta do is go through mountains lol no one cares if you get hurt if ur in your own ur done for it

@@mx5adventures893 I really enjoyed Melted Welly. Terry's Belly was fun but felt never ending. Sixtapod was closed when I went but I've heard that it is brilliant. I rode Kermit twice but wished I'd only done it once and progressed to the blues quicker. 🚵♀️

Nice. I rented one of the electric bikes last time I was there, made it a lot easier doing the uphill climb though I did have a couple of 'offs' while I got used to it. BTW - Dalby not Dolby (sorry!)

Great route, I love riding around there. At 11.56 of the video you go over the speed bump where I crashed doing the wild boar challenge and smashed my shoulder, collar bone and wrist to bits😁

@@fromsophiecycles 3 or 4 years after and it still gives me shoulder pain now and again(I had a steroid injection in it again last week) will be doing the wild boar challenge again this year if they run it and if I can fit it in with other races I’m doing😁

I believe that is not a power station but Salt End chemical plant, mainly for acetic acid. Paull i am sure the locals would say is not in Hull. 😂

Rude of me not to add, your video allowed me to reminisce of cycling to Paull too and beyond to opposite Immingham. Such a beautiful area and generally flat so great for cycling and not a massive distance from the centre of Kingston Upon Hull. 🤸

Great route, especially Temple Newsam. We used to take the kids to the farm there when they were younger. The weather doesn't look too bad either, bright blue skies, lots of sunshine. I bet it was still bloody cold, though! 🥶
Temple Newsam is a lovely spot, so much to it as well. The forest aspect of Temple Newsam was totally new to me but so much fun. It was extremely cold to start with but I was super warm by the end. Perfect weather in the end!

Doing the whole loop of Ladybower, Derwent and Howden Reservoir, it was 46km in total 🚴♀️
