I make what I need, 3d printing, woodwork, metal fabrication, a little cooking here and there. There's art, there's this and that... But it's all made by me.
I enjoy reusing materials, coming up with ideas and solutions that involve making what is needed.
I focus largely on 3d printing, but also will share videos of some of my motorcycle adventures, both inside and outside the garage!

EZ-GO Electric Golf Cart NiLight LED Headlight Install plus wiring repairs
มุมมอง 1.7Kปีที่แล้ว
Here the goal was to install some aftermarket led headlights onto my Uncle's golf cart. It's a 36v electric cart... So some challenges to get the 12v needed and to not drain 2 of the 6 batteries more than the others. Little did I know that the wires, terminals and charging port were crumbly and corroded...ugh.

This looks SICKK! Where are the files from?
Just bought a Nibbi 22m for the pit bike and the cable seems to be too long. It retracts with the stock carb but after the new carb is installed the throttle won’t retract. Right hand on throttle, left hand on cable (down by carb) when I open the throttle it stays open but when I pull on the cable down low it closes the throttle.
thanks
Oh my God,thank you soo much This short helped me to install the throttle cable❤
Thanks this video has helped me a lot i ordered one of these and everything is in different places from my old carb
man your a life saver! I freaked out for a couple hours on yt and couldn’t find a single thing that worked! Your amazing ❤🎉
@@TheOfficialAnti so glad my little vid helped you out! Now to get out there and ride!
Still don’t work
@@pitbullLover202-h9y yeah, gonna need some more information. What’s it doing what it not doing? That sort of thing. Does your slide go all the way down to fully closed. If you work, the throttle from idle to wide open throttle with the carburetor in your hand can you see the slide moving up and down freely?
@@jasonjulian1 when I use the throttle it gets stuck at the halfway point but anywhere b4 that it works like it should
Glade you decided to make the video!
Yes, PAY ATTENTION TO HOW TO DISASSEMBLE. and assemble in the WAY!!
@@rickbachman993 exactly right. Gotta watch how it comes apart so you can reassemble it properly.
@@jasonjulian1 Bingo!👍🏻
Fixed it thanks to your vid my throttle response is way better and top speed has been increased thankyou
Just a heads up, I recorded this last year... Just now getting to uploading it.
Awesome build 👌 I'm curious, if you don't mind me asking. What was the reason behind using the zs and doing all that work to it? Would it not have been cheaper to just buy the daytona which already comes that way? Or is there something you prefer about the zs over the daytona? Sorry for all my questions, I'm currently buying parts for a daytona 212cc build. 👍
@@shanec3246 I had the zs190 already..and it was a fantastic engine. I just wanted a little more punch. I found a supplier on Alibaba and was able to get both the complete 4v head and 212cc cylinder and piston for only about $150 shipped to my door. So the cost was minimal. That was last year ish...since then the individual parts costs have gone up though. The Daytona and ZS blocks are slightly different, and most all Daytona's are only a 4spd... But overall no compelling reason to pick one over the other.
@@jasonjulian1I went with the daytona with the road version 4 speed which has the same final gear ratio as the 5 speed around 0.91 I think. So no lost top speed and same cruising rpm. I managed to find one with the lighting circuit already installed also. I was thinking to upload a video when its all done, if I do I will send it to you. But I'm not sure because I'm no good on camera, I turn into a right mong and don't wanna make a fool of myself 😂😂😂

@@MrOukisee awesome my man!
Wow, every other video I've seen about Hawk carbs the recommendation was "just get a nibbi." It's nice to see someone recommend trying to adjust the stock carb.
You can not install a slide backwards .
@@bobbybishop5662 not and have it work...no. But people do and have tried. Round slides can be installed backwards; but they'll never lose fully which is why some people who do this have screaming high Revs when starting the engine. Flat slides are physically impossible to install backwards, no matter how hard one tries.
Thank you. Needed this.
Bs never fucking worked

Man i slapped a straight pipe on mine and pissed everyone off i got no choice but to go back to stock, living in the city sucks when ur a redneck like me
water dog
Yep.. Wanted to see what happened if I made this public after all this time.
Thanks man I have spent like 30 minutes trying to figure out what's wrong 😅
Thanks man sprayed my shit out then just put it back in there thought i was being careful. Fucking started my bike to full throttle
can you help me with the throttle cable the cap is stuck in tried using a tool to unscrew it but its stuck and tips?
That Mikuni style carburator they carry that on 1 cylinder brush cutter, i over haul a carburator myself whenever i used my brush cutter & it runs very fast in circular motion i have no idea how much torque it shakes the metal tube
Absolute fucking Chad, you’re awesome dude
😮hey man pls help is there meant to be a clip to stop that needle looking thing popping out???
@@MatutaeraKeene yes.. There will be a spring clip that sometimes looks like a W shape or a twisted E that slips down on top of the needle and sits inside a little groove inside the slide.
The gold thing is the contact to let current pass for the coil, so the fire at the spark plug. When pushing the handle to shut down the engine, it pushes on the arm of that thing, cutting the current and the motor stops, having no more sparks
I love you so much I’m actually gonna marry you, you just saved me so much time I owe you a kiss or something bro
@@derpybruh1099 glad I could help. I think? Lol
What would I do if it still wants to stay scrunched up even when it’s out of the carb? Would I be looking at just getting a new setup for my throttle and cables?
@@thelifeofjrock OK, so what I'd do in that case, is to take the slide and spring off the throttle cable.... Then make sure the cable can move easily back and forth. You can twist the throttle up at the handle and hold the other end of the cable where the slide goes with your hand. Pull the cable back with the other hand while twisting the throttle tube.. What that will tell you is if your cable is stuck inside the housing. If it is, sometimes spraying something like pb blaster or wd-40 in there and working the cable back and forth a ton will clear out any corrosion and free it up. If not, buy a new cable. If the cable moves OK on its own, check the throttle tube where it goes on your handlebar, make sure it too isn't stuck. Good luck!
Thanks man, this helped me out it back on , I didn’t know what I was doing. Now I do and it’s working again . Thanks a lot
Mikuni carbs are grrrbage. Great while they are working, but when they stop, good luck figuring it out. There must be two dozen tiny little holes and passages, and any one of them clogged up and your bike runs like grrbage. You take it on and off 50 times in a row surgically cleaning to no avail.
I personally haven't had any issues. I'm sure others have though. What brand do you like to run?
Noice 👌
Damn I didn't know some carbs you could control the needle directly.
Thank you for the video, bought a golf cart about a month ago and doing a major overhaul on a lot of it, just waiting on parts. Need to install some LED lights and I wanted to get an idea how others did it, so I don't screw it up. lol
Thanks man
My shithole has been plugged!!
Thank you
what if my throttle dosent return at all
Make sure that the cable slides easily back and forth without resistance. Cable could be seized. Also manually move the carb slide up and make sure it does so, and that the spring inside snaps it back to closed. Other than those, make sure the throttle tube on the handlebar isn't stuck.
Love your explanation! I have a 15hp Honda outboard motor that I took up to 7500ft above sea level. I think it needs a new jet in the carb. Where do I get them?
Best pla e I've found for jets of all sorts is jetsrus.com You can get either genuine jets or generics to save some cash. They even have measurements to ID what jets you have
What’s the best jet size for 420 predator I have 30mm vm26
Is the cap supposed to tighten on with out twisting the cable? Stupid question
Not stupid...not at all. But yes. However.. If the rubber sleeve at rhe end of the cable where it slips over the top of the cap is stiff, it can grab the cable and twist it. If that happens, you can simply pull up on the rubber sleeve and slide it up the cable housing a bit until your cap is tight. Just make sure to slide it back in place otherwise you can get an air leak!
Do you sell this I have one
No, I don't sell. I just made this for myself from misc exhaust pipe pieces.
@@jasonjulian1 I would purchase from you if you make another one
Youve greatly helped me make my brand new piece of **** actually run and idle. Thank you !!
Glad to have helped!
Thanks man this helped so much
Hey, I've been messing with a Yamaha year 2000 TTR 90 and finally got it running however when it starts it just goes completely full throttle without me even touching the throttle.... I was wondering if you could give me some insight why I cleaned out the carburetor and the main jet and the smaller little jet I clean those out and I screwed them all the way in Am I supposed to back those out a little bit? Now with this piece you showed in the video of this throttle thing with a spring would it be possible that I put this in and correctly and that's why the bike is at full throttle?
You’re throttle wire may be pulled away from the handlebar too far and always taught if the carb is now pointing in a slightly different direction or it could genuinely be that it’s not lined up with the slides in the grooves
You can't be serious there is no way people can't work this out on there own 😅
Sadly yes... You'd be shocked how many people have this issue. They just don't know!
nice
First guy to left me👍
Help holy
Sorry what do you mean? Do you need some help with your carb?
I remember doing this, and i was wondering why the engine was reving like a son of a bitch 😂😂
We've all be there at least once! Thus why I had to make a vid on it! I figured out my mistake once, figured why not share what I learned!
my vm26 does not look like that. i got from tb parts
The vm26 they have is slightly different, yes. The location of some of the controls is different, but the jetting information should still apply. This is the carb on their site I compared to: tbparts.com/product/26mm-mikuni-carb-vm26/
Ty
Bro thank you soooo much for this. I litrally changed my thumb throttle to a twist and when I turned it on it was overreving and I was confused at to why. When I looked at you video, I realised the idle groove was the wrong way
Glad I could help you find it!
