Pastor you need a history lesson. Slavery was NEVER a black and white thing. It was called the slave TRADE for a reason. Over 600,000 blacks was brought here to be slaves and over 1.25 million whites was taken to South Africa to become slaves. The first slaves documented was white. That was the slavs. That is where the word slaves comes from. After slavery in this country blacks started to thrive. They had the strongest family unit in the country. They owned more land and owned more businesses. What happened the civil rights movement killed the rise of blacks. It brought in this victim mentality. Remember the slaves was sold by blacks men. But you must be ignorant not to understand that blacks was here long before the white man. Blacks owned the most sophisticated city in the world in what is now San Francisco back in the 1700's. Research the moors. The media and government use race to keep us divided. Wake up

Dear pastor, the song was written and rapped by a black man. The 2 guys are actors. As a proud black Christian, you should read the part of the bible where it's written that being a black man was a curse put down by god. (I'm not religious, nor do I agree with that) Why any black person would be Christian is beyond me...jk. I know exactly why. European missionaries. You believe what you believe because of the white people you claim to be your oppressors. You should also check yourself on your history on slavery, because it was going on WAY before anyone else even showed up on the continent. White people weren't just showing up and capturing Africans, they couldn't even survive in Africa without dying from diseases. Africans captured each other and sold them. Mainly amongst other African tribes, but also between the Arabs, Europeans, and eventually (and lastly) Americans. African kingdoms were literally mad when the slave trade ended because it was bad for their business. Take some god damn responsibility for once.

This is the kind of Christian that people should listen to. I am a Christian like this man. I am not a white supremacist or racist. God does not support racism. Some folks need to learn that.

I know that I'm very late to this reaction but there was just one thing I wanted to share my opinion on. Racism, by definition, has to do with power and it's relation to prejudice based on race. I know you both disagreed with the idea that black people can't be racist but from what I understand from what I've been taught, because the lack of power minorities hold in our country, they cannot use power over other races to act on their prejudices and that's why my aunt who is also a black pastor in our community doesn't believe black people can be racist. However, this does not mean black people can't or don't hold prejudices based on race.

Have you ever stopped to think about why that situation exists? It is because other races are not stupid enough to go out and rob stores, assault and rape old women, kill people of their race in mass numbers for having different beliefs or affiliations, and attack cops and instead focus on bettering themselves, working to make money, and raising families and being good respectable people.
