Free range fun ,good sports always
Phil Lesh (RIP) and Bob Weir always did have a startled moment when they answered the inevitable question, "What's the future look like for you?" Why? Because at the Center of it all is, "What it is like when we play together." in its answer everyone knows is but a report. "A report of What?" "Playing". "And beyond that?" "Since 'it's all music', Play." Long Live The Grateful Dead!
This interviewer is annoying
That gal voice is weird
This is great ❤
That’s when the beard was new.
Just five years ago?? Damn. BOB, SHAVE !!!
These 2 REALLY took it easy on this interviewer.
You think Bobby and that girl did it later?
Yes 😂
I have been waiting for over 20 years to see this collection, I'm so glad nothing happened to all them VHS tapes..."GREAT JOB" AMJ! I just stumbled on this channel recently.
Bring night moves back
3:34 what i tell my wife when she asks me how band practice was
She brought up the kimmocks being angry, trying to get a reaction from Phil
The first bonnaroo The Mac Daddy of them all
What good sports !
Will the Trey interview ever come out?
I watched this interview awhile back and then just rediscovered. Help me out. What year was this interview? Thank you in advance.
WSMFP ... JB is the coolest man on the planet
Her lover Warren Haynes. My lord he is a master but does not mean you have to love the stuff. Guy is amazing but for some reason never grabs me. However, MUCH RESPECT.
STUD
OMG gosh she got them to say it. Can you sponsor me? So funny. How cool of them Very lucky Annemarie.
Hi. I’m just coming back to this. Thanks for your comments. My crew and I were lit. I feel very grateful.
oh gosh questions about the past. Anyone who does not know does not need to know anymore. The story has been asked of every member 100 times. They dont care about the internet. We share it already. SO now digital. Great. save stamps. Thank god.
I wonder if this lady knows who she is speaking to. kidding, She interrupted PHIL. Just let it happen. They will play with musicians as they always do.
I was at this show. It was on my bday and ween played. They were smoking crack, more or less in public. I’m 99% sure it was 01. I got into the side stage/ vip area because a friend of mine worked for the festival. JB started playing at copper for a few years after that. I definitely remember Ween and Galactic. Don’t remember Kimock… But, It was like 20 years ago and I’m sure I was having as much fun as one could in Utah back then.
We should define They 😂 Or maybe not
Who wears short shorts? Nice of Bobby to shield us from his potato salad with his right hand at the start. You have to ease us into that Bobby.
I remember being in the room when this interview was going down. I played w The Big Wu, the first band up at the first Bonnaroo ever.
Nice! I saw you guys:)
What a great Set you guys had. I remember driving down to see you guys and telling all my friends that "I bet they will change 'Kangaroo' to 'Bonnaroo'" crazy when you actually did!
@@natelsq holy cow! What a prediction.... you were right. We changed the words as we were sitting in line trying to get in......
I’m sure Phil looooved that Kimock comment! Wow. Hahah. She’s clearly has no idea about that beef.
LOL at Phil's reaction when this interviewer mentions Kimock and his wife
Hilarious! Had a buddy who went to Kimocks studio farm in PA a few years ago and was wearing a Phil T shirt, They made him turn it inside out before they'd let him in! Ha
Worst interviewer ever
So humble. Love these guys.
Bob isn't so HUMBLE.....
I was cringing at the end of that interview, mainly due to the interviewer. Besides that, it was fun listening to Bob and Phil. I wouldn’t be surprised though, if they had a little chuckle amongst themselves about how that interview went, You could see in their body language they were forcing themselves to keep it together. I guess that comes from many, many, many years of experience of being on the road and the thousands of gigs they have played.
Ouch!
She is correct. It’s the greatest show on earth. And jb is really that humble.
She is correct. It’s the greatest show on earth. The Dead carried that flag for a long time, but now it’s these cats
Loved hearing JB’s take on “don’t be denied”. I always considered it to parallel jb and Mikey’s start. Really fucking cool.
I love hearing JB talk about “don’t be denied”. I have always considered it to be a song that paralleled jb and Mikey . So fucking cool.
Dirty dozen record is one of the best albums in my opinion
Great interview.
Great interview.
Bob Weir still looks a bit young here, what year was this?
2002
Lol
Thank you Bobby for all the non-stop(almost) music for what's been 40 or so years for me.
and phil
What is the deal with this girl? She is a terrible interviewer. I'm sorry, but what the hell?
The most low key badass i've witnessed in my 39 years on this earth. Turn JB up!
How do we watch this whole interview ??
The first JB Smoove.
Good One
Claypool? Garcia? That cover song she swears they played at Halloween? Haha, I know this was a “late-night” interview but yikes. The most interesting part-to me, at least-was how JB views the whole sub culture of the “scene”. Man, Panic was rolling back then. Years was rollin’ by!
Was gonna say they look younger but now I know that it is from whenever this Bonnaroo was.
2002
@Bob Weir Been an actual fan since Fall 81/Spring 82, Been an incorrigible DeadHead a little bit less, have vague/faint memories of the music but strong with The Other One from maybe a decade earlier as a young 'un. I don't know if it was a "babysitter", an older cousin/young aunt or uncle, a campground on one of our multiple trips zig zagging or other places I'll not shout out. Have tried to find a show close in proximity with that one being played but only seem like those occurred after I was old enough to know. Still hoping to find out that I was dragged to a show anytime but in the Pigpen years would really be intense. If you are indeed the one and only Mr. Bobert Weir I immensely thank you and others from pulling me off a dark path. If you are just someone pulling my leg, that's fine too as I'm no less grateful.
15:15 bobby mouths "not for us" straight at the camera when she says the music scene has kinda cleaned up drug wise 😂
This is why sober Trey is better.
I don’t get it. He’s acting normal. If my son was acting like that I would not think he’s high. He’s not even sniffling
@@iamanidiotbut5523 checking to see if your son is in rehab yet
He's acting perfectly normal. Phish fans are the worst
Chuck Norris chest hair action! 🤣
