The plastic lug always fall off the guide on these making chain rattle, and springs bit soft, The BA twin cam is more like mazda design very simple and heavy duty.

What happens if I have already taken the circler bolt out? I can't get it back in can I still loosen the tensioner? Someone please help

Does the tension have to be released prior to undoing the whole retainer? Or can you just remove the retainer without releasing the tension?

Hi Craig - Happy New Year to you and your Family. Need your Help. I have a question - I have a Ford Fairmont AU series 3. It leaks oil from the Tensioner. Do you have a video pn How to seal it? Do I need to change the Orings? To do so, do I need to remove the entire tensioner OR unlocking it will let us to put the Oring in. Do ww need any sealant? Please suggest a good one. Hi craig.thanks for your help on the timing tensioner tutorial. Also is it a comin oil leak area? And timming case head seal area for oil leaks? My ef falcon has oil coming on to the water pump housing. Any feed back help. Regards john 14.11.19

if oil is leaking out of the bolt do you just undo that and change the washer or o-ring thats on it ? or will the tensioner pop out too ? cheers dave

Did it yesterday in perfect weather - dusty and dry - in a stock Fortuner GX on the factory yokohama geolanders at 24PSI - great climb! Good fun. Plan to try going up and then back down soutbound next time!!

Even on a dirt bike this is challenging... not for the climbs but going the other way, getting down the drops :)
