Installing saddlebag supports on a 2016 Harley sportster. Getting along with sissy bars???
มุมมอง 6482 ปีที่แล้ว
Viewers do these installations at their own risks. Please read the manual for specs and get help from your local HD mechanic if you need it. The supports I have used are from HD store. COmes with extra screws and bolts to fit several types of bikes.

Installing a detachable backrest for 2016 Harley Sportster XL1200 custom.
มุมมอง 4412 ปีที่แล้ว
Everyone can agree that the best way to ride a Harley is leaning back and enjoying the wind. But that sort breaks my back. Unfortunately Harley does not make a backrest for my double seat. This video shows how to install a detachable backrest for a single driver seat (stock) on a Harley sportster 1200 custom. I got my backrest from Ebay. Find the link below. www.ebay.com/itm/384585006282 Seller...
Riding back from work... got to reach home quickly.

Took the interstate I-270 this time. Dont usually do this... i like taking the long winding scenic routes. Anyway, drive safe and respect other drivers out there. You should be OK. Brake slowly and watch out for cars while crossing lanes. Make yourself very visual to all drivers and flash brake lights well before coming to a stop or changing lanes.
Riding to the spring event at District harley...
มุมมอง 122 ปีที่แล้ว
it was a nice saturday..a bit cold but ridable. The spring event (find info on the video) at my fav Harley dealer was quite nice though I missed the BBQ event. Came a bit late. Rode home in a bit ice and hail.. got wet. .. but hey what is the fun otherwise?

Take the rubber grommet off of the OEM bolt and put it on the new Bolt so it's closest to the Fender....LOL it's not rocket science. This kit was designed to work with the OEM hardware

Put a stage one on that thing…Vance & Hines get the FP3 Fuelpack or FP4 (new one) or a screaming eagle tuner. If you have the money put a cam in it and that thing will hook ass! I have the exact same bike

Great vid! Thanks so much for going thru the steps and the cable warning for the back panel. Because of this video, I was able to determine that my Main Board was bad too and am awaiting it to get fixed. You gave me the confidence to tackle this. Thanks again so much!!!

I installed this kit today on my Nightster and found the left side must be done first. The included stud with the nut in the middle for the turn signal stalk is 1/4" longer on the fender side to make up for the thickness of the adapter plate. Then when removing the right side, replace the stud with the one that was on the left side as it is 1/4" longer. Measure these, it's true. Instead of the basic nuts included with the kit I chose nylon lock nuts just for an added ounce of security. If you have a Nightster or a Low model sportster I advise to lift the bike 4-6" and remove the bottom shock bolts to allow the swingarm to drop and give plenty of room to work with all the fasteners. Lastly, I bought a Nitecore TIP2 flashlight with a magnetic base. It is the most awesome, tight space, flashlight for working on bikes.

Thank you for this. Just bought one and thought instructions would be included, but no. Your video is excellent. Would you know what the long bolt with the nut in the middle is for?

That is for adjusting the angle of your backrest. The backseat rests on that. You loosen it to tilt the backseat forward and tighten it to make it go backwards. Adds to the degree of coolness you like.
